I heard this theme for the first time in game in the first campaign. It was the level were you were surrounded by three liches, you had to survive for 12 turns, or kill the liches, which i did (barely, with two turns to spare), it was a super difficult scenario, I lost most of my level 1 units to all those ghosts and wraiths, not to mention the revenants, so now my army is mostly level 2 and 3 units.
lol I survived 12 stages with 1 lost troop. The trick is to have only heavy infantry and mages and level up mage to healer then the infantrymen. Don't recruit any horsemen, spearman or archer they are weak against the undead race. Especially during the night. Also make sure that you save units with the little capsule marker on the top right of their head that indicate loyal units that don't require income tax to recruit only 20 gold. Tactic in that level is to gather troops and move them into a group of town as healing base and I would usually gather them up and move them down to the bottom lich and attack them first. When it day time take all the offensive and when night time come in retreat back and heal troops. Make such to keep heavy infantrymen up front and mage in the back and only use infantrymen men to attack skeletons while mages kill off the ghost and since they give you a free healer unit for that scenario. Use him by placing him in the center of your troops while other units surround him.
That was a hard one. I remember being stuck there for a long time. I can only think of one harder lever in the whole campaign: the one where you have to fight like 6 or 7 great knights which recruit only knights with charge. Is also worth mentioning that level that got deleted eventually, where you had to fight against enemies who could petrify you with a single attack they landed on your units.
Yeah, that is one of the more challenging stages. Especially if you want to kill all three liches. When I first played that level, I kept dying on it until I decided that I was going for sheer numbers and so I put out a few level 2 mages inside the castle, then pumped out as many elven shaman characters as my money allows. They are not great at combat, but if you use them to spam slow effect then you can blockade the walls of the castle both inside and out with as many bodies as possible and that is how I stayed alive. Later playthroughs were easier due to knowing that this battle was coming up
The composer is the same for this and The City Falls. What else has this person done? I mean... These have got to be a hell of a credential for bigger projects. For instance, this one has actually made me forget the music for The Game of Thrones and start to play this in my head as my new official track for the Starks.

ARC command I feel your pain, I barely survived that.
See I sent my paladin and light mage to deal with the wraiths and everything else clustered in the main keep.

Hush... I think we're surrounded. War drums! Asheviere's mercenaries have found us!
That moment when you realise you dont have a healer on your formation
0:43 Reminds me of "Blackrock and Roll" from Warcraft 3. The similar sections even start at around the same time (around the 40-something mark)
ahahha true
I really like this one!
This is pretty fitting, but the original 40-second drum sequence, which was also titled "Northerners", was good in a different way.
Ah, some years since I have played the game, but the music still awaken my thirst for enemy blood
The orcs are coming! 🙃
Awesome. It fits them very well.
Long live Chief Kapou'e!
omg this is best ever heard
Son of the Black Eye... Epic game!!!! Love!!1!1!1!?3
Sorry. The composer for this one is Stephen Rozanc. The one for The City Falls is Doug Kaufman. Guess we have 2 talents instead of 1. :)
some parts sound like nightelf theme from warcraft 3
And the 0:43 part sounds a bit like the Human theme from Reign of Chaos ("Blackrock & Roll" is the name of the song).
