Sambranikodi is one of the picturesque island located at the southern tip of Ashtamudi Lake, [അഷ്ടമുടി കായൽ] it invites you to experience the natural beauty of God’s Own Country Kerala. It is believed that during ancient times, small ships from China anchored along this coast. Local people referred to these small ships as 'chambrani' and later the place named as Sambranikodi. Currently, Sambranikodi is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kollam. It gives a breath-taking view of waterways fringed by lush mangroves.
