I am worried about this people who leak private chats and calls to the public. That's dangerous and it is showing you cannot really trust Nigerians because they cannot keep their mouth shut. A woman can get married to any family, including widows who could be anyone's mother. That's why they need a male presence. The male cannot change their last name or family tree, that is part of tradition. E get why. If we do like oyinbo and say you can be independent,we will finally get problems in future where family will marry themselves and it's the children that will find out from DNA or internet.

Nyma needs to learn not to appear to be an expert on other people’s culture. Though she speaks some Yoruba, the use of those proverbs are superficial. Agba nma gba? GBA kinii., Agba Yoruba ko ni gba igba kugba O. In Yoruba, families led by fathers go into spiritual divinations to see if the marriage has positive prospects. As a royal family is involved some Babalawo or Ifa priests might be involved. On the mother’s side, an Aladura or pastors might be involved. Their messages or spiritual prophesies are never publicised. If a Yoruba father was told his son would be in danger going to a marriage. He may disagree with the marriage to the end. These are things people like Nyma may not understand.

We are Yoruba or Igbo first before being Moslems or Christians. That may be different in Auchi, Moslem North or the place Nyma came from. You may reject the marriage choice of your father or parents. But know for sure you are not inviting their blessings. in Yoruba marriage is essentially between two families. Proceeding to marry without parental blessings carries a lot of social risks along. Very few marriages subsists without parental blessings. Family rejection can destroy a man or woman.

They really needed a man on this topic and that man that called in summed it up. No insults to women but what men and women see can be different on this kind of topic. I found it not surprising how the ladies chose culture when it was convenient for them and themsleves when it is not. As a man, you have to manage your 3 families, your own side, her own side and the one you are building.

Ladies of this show can be very annoying at times. Bunch of hypocrites. I'm so angry by their rubbish positions that I don't even know where to start or how to put my thoughts together.
