As a young man I had always wondered what the cornering of the hair and beard was. I knew we were meant to grow bears but if we can't cut any of it our hair will grow really long. Cutting your beard isn't bad. Do I think we should have a beard? Yes. Do I also know that mine will get split ends if I don't trim it? I will be trimming it soon but I haven't in years
Yes, you can shave your beard. It only requires a sharp tool, such as scissors, a knife, clippers, or even a sharp rock. The real question is, why SHOULD you?
..this teaching while trying to stay in context, does not cover "all" the intent of men's facial hair. There is considerably more to grasp and which each male should consider before tossing out the idea of wearing a beard. More study is required on 119's behalf.

I have been thinking this. Some people say saying Jesus is bad and then say the Name of her Father in a "Modern Translation" of it saying Yahweh...which just as wrong as saying Jesus IMO.
His name is Yehovah according to the most ancient scrolls. The Rabbis did omit the vowels so the Hebrews would not speak his name because punishable by death from their captors and overlords. His son is Yeshua ( meaning there is salvation in Yehovah ). There is no “Jesus”in Hebrew. It’s a poor translation of the Greek (Iésous) I used to ride with clubs and it’s highly important to know a mans name. How much more so to know our creators name and the son he sent to correct the Hebrews defaulting on their part of that covenant of the Ten Commandments, and in turn saving us gentiles. He only asked us to follow the 10. The fourth being to keep the Shabbat ( sabbath )set apart from the first 6 days. Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. He can’t bless most people because of their disobedience to this one instruction. Most of our blessings are only from his goodness and mercy. Imagine how much more he would do if we were obedient children? And he’s not “Lord” that’s a term used for Bael. “Do not place any other god before me” so people call on “lord”? You have not because you ask not. So act accordingly ask correctly and see what happens. He wants to bless us so much the chosen people would be jealous. I haven’t seen that yet, have you?
As a Biblically Curious person, I found this very interesting. I know some religions forbid having facial hair, and I always thought this was contrary to this scripture. Most Bible translations refer to the marring of edge of the beard. So my thought has always been that we should have a beard, but we are allowed to trim it, as long as we do not change its natural shape. BTW, which Bible are you quoting from?
I endorse the notion of choosing a haircut that suits your personal style, as long as it doesn't entail mimicking unbelievers, idolizing false deities, or paying homage to the deceased. It's a clear principle not to shave your beard; even David, for instance, didn't command his men to shave their beards; instead, he permitted them to let their beards flourish. This is why it advises against rounding off the corners of your head, but it specifically instructs not to damage the beard. The main focus on obeying God though is to be set apart from the world. This is to show us that God cares about every little part of our life for he loves us!

The Bible is clear. Shaving is a SIN, David's men were embarrassed because they had the visual evidence of a sin on their face. And yes, even when a person is shaved by force a sin was committed. It is just like committing adultery is a sin. When a married woman is raped. The woman feels ashamed. Because she ended up being defiled even though it was against her will. Likewise when King David's men were shaved by force, they likewise were ashamed because they were defiled against their will. It is not in the same way as rape, but in both cases they are being defiled into a breaking of God's LAWs. Now I will say a woman is not responsible for a rape if it is truly rape, and likewise a man is not responsible if someone shaves him against his will. But a woman is responsible if she willingly commits adultery. Likewise a man who shaves his face is responsible before God. Christ our example did not shave. Because he did not commit SIN. Your teaching is false. The only acceptable time for a man to shave is if he was cured of leprosy, or been in contact with a dead body where they might have had a contagious disease. This is because if a person had leprosy for example their would be traces of the leprosy in the hair while it was growing. The only other exception was when a vow was completed. Which would only happen on rare occasion. You should be ashamed of promoting breaking God's LAWS. You are no better than a person promoting Sunday as a replacement for God's Sabbath. Today every spiritual leader is promoting breaking the LAWS of God including you.
@@papajohnsfan5394 that is correct. The not wearing mixed clothing requires finding clothing which the fabric is not mixed which can be difficult in our day. Unlike not shaving. I will say golden, the way you just built gods word around man made things is the problem that the world has always had, including the pharesees. To say: A job could hurt your beard so GOD wouldn't make that a rule is blasphemy. Ask yourself, is the command the problem or the job? If any man made thing contradicts the law, should we go along? Nor am I saying "a job could hurt your beard so Yah wouldn't make that a rule" - I'm saying Yah wouldn't make a rule that would HURT OTHERS. You know you're not supposed to eat hair, right? You know getting hair inside an open wound is bad, right? Did ***man*** put those repercussions in place? You're going around throwing around "blasphemy" 🤦 Yet, you don't even understand the underlying point of my comment. God wouldn't make people not trim their beards and have them grow obnoxiously long beards they trip over, get stuck in stuff, shed into their work and overall get on the way. Calm down.
The ritual Law was given to ISRAEL: so if you’re not Jewish, how are you honouring the Bible by taking on something that was not given to you? Stating that you “believe the whole Bible Bible is true,” is creating a false dichotomy where u implicitly claim those who don’t agree with your interpretation do not believe the Bible to be all Divinely inspired. The fact is, by taking on commandments not given to you and claiming everything applies to everyone all the way through, you actually DISHONOUR the Law, whose purpose is to prove that we are sinners (Romans 7), and to keep the Jewish people distinct from the nations (Exodus 19:5-6, Deuteronomy 4:5-7). Not only this, but you can’t just pick and choose which commandments you like - Galatians 5:3 says that if you wish to be circumcised (under the Law), you are a debtor to do the whole Law. This means you should be making sin offerings as well, going up to Jerusalem 3 times a year, and making war against Amalek - and I know for a fact you’re not doing any of those three things, so if we were still under the Law, you would be accursed by God as a Law breaker.
I don’t really agree with it I do think it has to do with not being like pagans in some degree but his example of David and the spies with half their beards cut was a weak argument to me. They were captured and forced to shave they did not commit a sin they were ashamed because of the cultural and religious beliefs held about beards which is why I believe David showed compassion and told them to grow it in Jericho away from the city. I also think that it’s not contradictory to say not to shave your head and then shave it for a nazarite vow the reason I don’t believe it is a contradiction is because one is consecration to God and one is not much like the Golden calf in exodus God detests it and graven images yet I believe it was king Solomon who made 12 Golden calf’s as an offering to God and he was pleased by it. Showing their is a clear difference in what is sin in Gods eyes or like lying God hates a lying tongue however when the Egyptian midwives helped the Hebrew woman give birth they lied to pharaoh and God blessed them for it or the spies and the prostitute she lied about the spies and God blessed her. So I kinda think since it was a well known cultural practice even in Yeshuas day to have long beards and hair that it most likely was seen as a law not pertaining to the violent cutting of hair during mourning.
Can we shave beards? What does the bible which is the word of Our Holy Creator YHWH say? Hmmmmm YHWH wants us to be like Him. What is His facial description? Was it "He sported a nicely shaven goatee tattooed arms and a shaven head" Father forgive me
God gave man beard to keep not to cut off or get clean shave. If God doesn't have anything to do with our beard then why he gave man beard on the first place, he could have kept us as women without beard.

How should I treat pig skin? Camel skin? I understand that such animals are not food, and that their carcass refers to their dead bodies. However, the prophets wore camel hair. Were the camels still alive? How do I approach this topic?
I disagree with both axioms. The Bible was written over the centuries for contemporary hearers, not for the 21st Century; and it is quite plain that much of the Bible is NOT literlly true. St John's Revelation is NOT literally true; it is a description of the undescribable. The story of Noah's Ark is sourced from the writings of Gilgamesh in Mesopotamia; did they describe the same Flood? The only description of Cristianity I accept is the one Jesus gave, "I was sick or in prison and you visited me." Not just talk from millennia ago. But these preachers deliberately ignore anything Jesus said; they prefer to quote Genesis.
To grow a beard isn’t the commandment, it’s don’t cut the beard. God say not to do thing, as humans we always have to do things. So it’s not you must grow a beard it is don’t cut the hair growing out of your face, there’s a difference.

The world is going to hell in a handbasket because almost everyone is breaking almost every law God ever made. Most are committing dozens of sins per day . Shaving is only one daily sin being committed by most.
it would have been easier to just tell the men to shave the other half of their face and come in.. but David went the more difficult route, which is to tell them to wait until their beards grew again, this indicates the importance of the beard above and beyond the much easier alternative... in context with everything else, the beard is the DEFINING MALE CHARACTERISTIC that Yahweh wants us to carry and denying this logic is highly problematic. The Nazarite promise is within an exceptional context, not a normative one.

As the teaching says, "we should not cut ourselves nor rip or ruin our hair out of our beard and our head with violence, as it is a practice of sun-god worship; or anything else derived or associated with pagan false god worship, for that matter. They would mourn to their gods in this way for the loss of their loved ones"
There is no sin in grooming. As long as you are not doing it to mourn the dead as described above, then you are fine.
We hope this helps.
Blessings to you and yours.
Thank you! Context matters so much
As a young man I had always wondered what the cornering of the hair and beard was. I knew we were meant to grow bears but if we can't cut any of it our hair will grow really long. Cutting your beard isn't bad. Do I think we should have a beard? Yes. Do I also know that mine will get split ends if I don't trim it? I will be trimming it soon but I haven't in years
So what are the affirmative commandments ? Because according to this video we need to examine the context and we live in a very different context
Thank you 🙏🏾 very much all praise to YAHUAH now and forever.
Yes, you can shave your beard. It only requires a sharp tool, such as scissors, a knife, clippers, or even a sharp rock. The real question is, why SHOULD you?
So they could look like a female and put make up and lipstick on .
Outside of military service you shouldn't
What’s a good excuse if it’s not full or clean?
..this teaching while trying to stay in context, does not cover "all" the intent of men's facial hair.
There is considerably more to grasp and which each male should consider before tossing out the idea of wearing a beard.
More study is required on 119's behalf.
Thanks so much

Hi 119Ministries! Could you please make an investigation about the personal name YHWH? I've seen videos that in ancient Hebrew, as it is read per syllable, it is Yah-hoo-ah. Hence, many these days call Him Yahuah. Also, take note, there was no W/V sound before.

So I have tattoos. I have a lot of them. Would jesus forgive me for that? If I truly mean to never get another one

CONTEXT
You should be ashamed of promoting breaking God's
LAWS.
You are no better than a person promoting Sunday as a replacement for God's Sabbath. Today every spiritual leader is promoting breaking the LAWS of God including you.
You wear mix fabrics? SIN!!!!!!!
@@papajohnsfan5394 that is correct. The not wearing mixed clothing requires finding clothing which the fabric is not mixed which can be difficult in our day.

The war captive bride was supposed to shave her hear and cut her nails though. A sign of mourning
It seems like the consistent theme is not worship, but rather despairing and denouncement of one’s religion. This would be apostasy in Israel, but required for those coming from outside Israel into the fold (which is why the woman is required to shave in Deuteronomy 21, to put off the old in mourning). Yah has given freedom - not a burden. That's not my words, that's the Bible.
I'm not appealing to a "job" or "man made things" 🤦 I'm saying Yah wouldn't require such a ridiculous standard because He has taken ALL into account AND would not give us an unnecessarily burdensome commandment, like the Talmud does and what the Pharisees would insist.

Awful lot of generalization of "the pagans" with no context or educational background on who these people being referred to actually were
I don’t really agree with it I do think it has to do with not being like pagans in some degree but his example of David and the spies with half their beards cut was a weak argument to me.

Read the Word for yourself, not only relying on others for guidance. Pray for guidance.Yahushua/Yeshua - His Hebrew name who is usually called (Jesus) taught to keep the whole Word. Including the Law/Torah. Matthew 5:17 “Do not presume that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. 18 For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not [g]the smallest letter or stroke of a letter shall pass from the Law, until all is accomplished! 19 Therefore, whoever nullifies one of the least of these commandments, and teaches [h]others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever [i]keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." I disagree with both axioms.
So it’s not you must grow a beard it is don’t cut the hair growing out of your face, there’s a difference.

it would have been easier to just tell the men to shave the other half of their face and come in.. but David went the more difficult route, which is to tell them to wait until their beards grew again, this indicates the importance of the beard above and beyond the much easier alternative... in context with everything else, the beard is the DEFINING MALE CHARACTERISTIC that Yahweh wants us to carry and denying this logic is highly problematic. The Nazarite promise is within an exceptional context, not a normative one.
