Takeuchi tb125 and landscape rake

With the better weather the last few weeks we have made a start on some of the landscaping projects to be done this spring , This is a simple soil and seed job using the new rhinox riddle rake attachment and digger to level and rake off soil ready for grass seed. The rake does a great job and saves a lot of labour hand raking the stones off the areas to be seeded.

After watching a few videos on these landscape rakes, I sure want to get one for my Hitachi 120. I have a large clearing rake but the openings are 10 inches and this rake here would really help clean up the smaller rocks after an initial clearing with the heavy one.

it does a good job spacing is 50mm (about 2 inch) the ground does have to be dry for it not to clog up

Was starting to wonder where you’d got to 🤪. The rake makes a good job on that soil👍 You must have racked some hours up now on the digger?

aye need to get back in the routine, The rakes great takes enough stone out for grass and loosens it up deep enough to roll the rest in. yeah another service will be around 1000 clock hours since getting it.

Cheer's , Yeah i added the horizontals after first using it as it would let some stone through when shaken.

Thinking of buying one to clean up river rock on job site will this work for separating and loading larger rock ?

yeah it can be used when the soil is very dry but its no screener / riddle bucket as the spacing is a bit small clogs up,
i think they make different tine spacing if your only after larger stones bigger spacing will allow material through easier . 👍

@@bengoddard6898 good to no I called them to discuss cost and shipping, my excavator came with tag connector they don’t make this type connector I would have to remove the thumb pin every time , do you no of something that might be better for what I want to do ?

@@plumbum6558 i have seen people build a rake beam on like a piece of H beam and grab it with the thumb to use,
otherwise a lot of bucket makers do similar rakes as in the video mabey another will have one to fit you tag coupler

@@bengoddard6898 yeah I’ve seen others do that too thnx for the idea though 👍I found another manufacturer the wanted literally twice the price and some change ! Might still order this one and get the welder out . Seriously thanks for the chit chat on the subject !
