Hi guys. We’ve just come back and it was great meeting you in Moncrons on Tuesday. We were the group of 3 skiers and 1 boarder. Used 360 snowboarding during the week for a binding repair. They were excellent and highly recommended.
Great video as always, looking forward to our holiday end of this month and we will do wine of the day every day 🤣 can we get a shout out for Tom, Callum, Charlie and James 🎉
This has become a weekly watch for me. Looking forward to heading out to see you guys end on the month. With a few good friends Tom Charlie and James will definitely take your recommendations for wine of the week 🎿⛷️
Very frustrating that so many lifts are closed in Sestriere and the whole of the vialattea area. Not due to lack of snow, just maximising their profits! New snow today, perfect conditions and only 3 lifts open in Sestriere. Dreadful.
Question for chairlift chit-chat.. we are a group of 5 experienced skiers, but 1st time in Suaze. Would you advise us hiring a guide to show us around.. the mountain range looks vast, and local knowledge is sometimes helpful?.. if so, could you put us in touch with some please.. Tony, Jeff, Luke, Paul and Andy. Cheers
Hi James it's Dudley, can we have a shout out for Ben Sorrill and the B.S. party, coming out again on the 21st Jan Chairlift Chit-Chat: Does the 'Viking' still drink in Il Lampione? I remember him turning up with you, from time to time, back in the nineties...
At 76 years old no longer skiing but love watching your snow reports. Think I heard you mention Ciao Pais as a good place to eat. That was the hotel I stayed at on my only Sauze holiday around 50 years ago.
Thanks for answering my questions! Could we get a shout out for Amy, Barry and Larrissa? Coming out with myself on the 21st for their first ski holiday. They've been practising hard since July!
CHAIRLIFT CHITCHAT: I'm coming to Sauze by train in February, and because of a landslide the train ends at St Michel Valloire, not Oulx. Is there a bus from St Michel Valloire to Sauze? If so, how do I find the times?
CHAIRLIFT CHITCHAT: Arriving with 14 chaps on 21st for my 30th ski anniversary in Sauze. If snow is still sparse, what's the skiing snow levels like over in Sans Secario and Montgenèvre? 2nd question... See you in Moncrons on 23rd and on such an occasion perhaps we can briefly meet you on the slopes later sometime between Wednesday-Friday?
Hi Guys another great video and hope you both are doing well. Can you.please do a shout out for Colin and Donna from Northern Ireland and Salford arriving on Sunday 21/1/24, looking forward to our week in Sauze but will miss our Guinness drinking peanut.🐶. Hope to meet you on the mountain or in Moncrons on Tuesday. You both are doing a great job and very informative and entertaining, we look forward to your report every week.
Hey guys, loving the weekly updates, it's getting me really excited for our trip. I usually love a challange on the mountains, but is it worth trying to get from Sauze to Montgenèvre and back in a day? Is it even possible with the current snow coverage!?
Hi Guys Question for Chairlift chitchat: I'm travelling to resort early march. I have celiacs dieses. Do you know how good the mountain restaurants are at catering for gluten free?? Regards Chris
Thank you for the updates, much appreciated! Chairlift Chitchat: we are arriving on the 20th and we are staying in Cesana. I see the San Sicario gondola is 1 km outside the town and can't find a ski bus schedule... Do you guys know if there is a bus service between Cesana Centre and the gondola? Thank you!
Quick question- coming out for half term (thanks again for switching our hire to a more local shop btw) hearing lots about carv inserts, do any hire shops offer ski boot hire with carv inserts?
Hi - Love your videos. We are coming for half term on Feb 11th. I see first couple of days will be Carnavale too - is Sauze going to be rammed? Any tips for avoiding bottlenecks/ long waits for lifts? Fiona and co.
It will be busy. Bourget drag is a good place to head for. The bottom of the bowl is one bottleneck you should try to avoid. If you want to head over to Sestriere or SanSicario then do it first thing. That said, 10-15 mins is the most you’ll queue.
Hey Guys, love the chairlift chat/gondola gabfest. Coming all the way from Perth in Australia on the 28th of January to meet up with my friends Nicky and Glenn. I'm pretty good on the snowboard and Nicky is a great skier/boarder but unfortunately Glenn is a beginner. Can you recommend a ski school for him to have some lessons? Appreciate the shout out and we'll look out for you on the slopes. Michael
Hi Michael, we work with one of the ski schools in Sauze. All are good and I’d have no hesitation in recommending any of them. You can book through us via our website if you like. We’ll greet you at the meeting point on the first morning and check you in. Let me know if you need anymore information.
A few times we have parked ours in the free carpark next to the tourist office (above the multi-storey car park). The free car park in Jouvenceaux is nice too but not very flat.
You will have one day skiing in Montgenevre included in your Via Lattea pass. Most ski operators run a weekly bus & if you see the reps on the mountain tap them up for a lift. It's not easy getting there on public transport & I usually ski....subject to snow!
This season (and last year) you get 2 days in Montgenevre included in a 6 day Vialattea pass. Public transport is doable but tricky however the tour operators usually put a coach on once a week to Montegenvre or you can book a private taxi which makes things easier.
Great report both. Coming to Sestriere on 21st Jan. Hope to see you about. Cheers Pete & the boys

This is getting me disproportionately excited for our first trip there on 28th!! two weeks to go yippee! 🙂 (And we even hired our skis via you )

It's a great resort for chit chat on the chair lifts.... as they're all so slow!!!

Gondola Gossip
Hi guys
Is their any other place we can park our motorhome in sauze as we parked at the sportinia carpark for a few days last yr thanks Darren 😊

Great update as always! Where should I post for a potential shout out? :)
On here :-)
Hi Guys, is it possible to reach Claviere or Montgenevre from Sauze by bus and do a day of skiing across the french border? Thanks, love your videos!
Need new lift passes I think for france, once skied from sestrierre to montgenevre and lift passes wouldn’t work for france
An access for one day is guaranteed in Monti della Luna side of Vialattea if you do the 6-days skipass, so I think you can ski also in Montgenevre

@@Sinead-sauzeonline thanks a lot for the response! Hoping to meet you on the slopes in a couple of weeks!

“Gondola Gabble”…??
Like it!
Gondola gossip.
Highly disappointed by the chairlift chitchat section this week... Clearly it is Gondola Gab/Gossip. Sort it out
