In today’s video, we take a tour around scorpion exhausts HQ to show how motorbike and car exhausts are made from scratch, all in preparation for installing a new custom system to our Police Focus RS
The law around exhausts is fairly confusing however we did our best to cover some topics in today's video to help you make the right choice when purchasing a new system for your pride and joy.
An exhaust system is used to guide reaction exhaust gases away from a controlled combustion inside an engine or stove. The entire system conveys burnt gases from the engine and includes one or more exhaust pipes. Depending on the overall system design, the exhaust gas may flow through one or more of:
Cylinder head and exhaust manifold
A turbocharger to increase engine power.
A catalytic converter to reduce air pollution.
A muffler (North America) / silencer (UK/India), to reduce noise.
An exhaust pipe must be carefully designed to carry toxic and/or noxious gases away from the users of the machine. Indoor generators and furnaces can quickly fill an enclosed space with poisonous exhaust gases such as hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides, if they are not properly vented to the outdoors. Also, the gases from most types of machines are very hot; the pipe must be heat-resistant, and it must not pass through or near anything that can burn or can be damaged by heat. A chimney serves as an exhaust pipe in a stationary structure. For the internal combustion engine it is important to have the exhaust system "tuned" (refer to tuned exhaust) for optimal efficiency. Also, this should meet the regulation norms maintained in each country. In China, China 5; In European countries, EURO 5; In India, BS-4, etc.,

In most motorcycles all or most of the exhaust system is visible and may be chrome plated as a display feature. Aftermarket exhausts may be made from steel, aluminium, titanium, or carbon fiber.
Motorcycle exhausts come in many varieties depending on the type of engine and its intended use. A twin-cylinder bike may have independent exhaust sections, as seen in the Kawasaki EX250 (also known as the Ninja 250 in the US, or the GPX 250), or a single exhaust section known as a two-into-one (2-1). 4 cylinder machines, super-sport bikes like Kawasaki's ZX series, Honda's CBR series, Yamaha's YZF series, latterly titled R6 and R1, and Suzuki's GSX-R, often have a twin exhaust system. A "full system" may be bought as an aftermarket accessory, also called a 4-2-1 or 4-1, depending on its layout. In the past, these bikes would come as standard with a single exhaust muffler, a practice that lasted until the early 2000s, when EU noise and pollution regulations mostly stopped this practice, forcing companies to use other methods to increase the performance of the motorcycle.

I worked under shaun never met iver heard the stories though, it is a job i miss tbf but it does have its downfalls but what job doesnt. Ill be honest though the right circumstances id go back, i worked for miltek to just after

Questions have been asked about modifications but my question is. Why are we as car drivers in England only registered keeper of the car that we pay for and maintain. 🤔
If only these performance exhausts were legal to put on your car. Like who doesn’t like actually being able to hear your car. But no I’m the uk you can’t do anything to your cars. You can’t have fun!
Are cherry bomb exhausts road legal
No sound clips of exhaust,no explanation on res and non res exhausts, I found this bit of a disappointing "click bait" video 😞
I’m sorry that you felt that way Matt. Once it was edited there was so many clips I wish I had filmed. Ironically we filmed a ton of exhaust clips outside the warehouse although the mic malfunctioned on the second camera meaning they were unusable. And yes now you mention it I realise the intro didn’t quite deliver. I’ll take this feedback and apply it to the next video. Thankyou Matt
