  • Jeep Grand Cherokee Replacing Engine Mounts
In this video I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 3.6 liter engine that has bad engine mounts. The customer concern is that when hitting accelerator pedal there is a huge clunk in the front end that sounded like the engine was smacking the hood. One of the engine mounts had almost broke into two pieces. I will show you how to replace these engine mounts and any tools a long the way that you will need. Let's go.

Great job. Tip from a dealer tech. Use a pole jack and you wont have to mess with any of that up top. Only do one mount at a time. When you lift the engine it will tilt. Just unbolt the mount and mount braket. You can separate them in the pocket and pull the mount out. Makes it super simple.

@ChrisTheBmxGuy thank you I appreciate that. Most of the time that is what I do but this one was not sure if I could jack from oil pan.

So you wouldn't replace both the driver and passenger side mounts at the same time while the engine is lifted?

@@chrismeyers5884 it actually gives you more room doing one at a time. I found it easier

Wow, what a fail. Over-torqued bolts cost the guy a ton of dough!
