Holy schneikies! I would NEVER have thought about doing the Carol of the Bells this way, but it is so exquisite in a deliciously ominous way! God, I LOVE IT!
The first time I watched this on Patreon it brought tears and huge smiles. When he did those earthquakes my heart stopped every time..... Uhhhh. stop. Uhhh. Stop. Uhhh. Stop. I could literally feel it in my middle chest bone and stomach. Its my favorite parts of the song. Fantastic. Can't wait for your reaction to Voiceplay Christmas video. It is both awesome and fun.
@@jackyfriedman1963 Yes, I know I've been listening to him for 3 years Plus. It's just some were playing down his low notes. saying it was a percussion instrument. Hes sustained a low note for 8 seconds on Misty Mountains Cold. Thanks for responding. Have a great day.
It is sooo epic!! I’ve listened to it like 20 times since Geoff released it on Patreon last week and it’s as epic each time as it was the first. My whole car was vibrating from the bass.
I am very familiar with Geoff and thought I knew what to expect from his songs… this song had me flopping back in my chair in teary eyed, goose-bump induced shock. I LOVE how in all of his christian-origin Christmas songs, he always has this dark tone juxtaposed with a longing hopefulness that… ARGH it gets to me. Bye-bye sleep tonight, I’m going to be listening to this on repeat till it’s time for me to go to work. EDIT: I’m not as experienced as you are with sound engineering but to me it sounds like the subharmonics in the chorus is two compressed subharmonic lines double-trakced on top of one another-he said that he likes to layer the same notes over and over again if he wants a beefier sound. Which, if that’s the case, makes it even more impressive-because he would have to do two or three all but perfect subharmonic lines to make the chorus.
I like how different it sounded, yet it still sounded like Carol of the Bells. It wasn't too far off the wall. It was AMAZING and unexpected. Geoff usually does that though, doesn't he? LOL
Did someone really say that Denalicat? I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets a Christmas action movie vibe from this! I felt really weird the first time I listened to it and thought that! This is one of my favorite Xmas songs too. I love this version so much. ❤💚
Yes, the lowest four bass notes after that massive one are done with subharmonics. Clear and authoritative subharmonics, mine sound like crap after hearing his!!!
I used to be a traditionalist when it came to Christmas music, but then I found Geoff and Voiceplay.
This cover is simply EPIC 🤩
Mixing bells, foghorns, and epic percussion creates "Metal of the Bells"!
I loved him saying "I do not normally think of this as a bass song"... dude, only Notre Dame has bess deep enough to go down there with you.
This song makes me feel nothing is impossible. Certainly Geoff doesn't know the meaning of the word. Genius. Super reaction thank you
Voiceplay released their new Christmas video today as well.
Voiceplay.... Zat You, Santa Claus?
Holy schneikies! I would NEVER have thought about doing the Carol of the Bells this way, but it is so exquisite in a deliciously ominous way! God, I LOVE IT!
I can only say...I have Goosebumps everywhere!! 🤷♀️👍🙏🎄🔔I love Geoff 💖💋
Same!
Wonderful. What an arrangement. Incredible bass drone with the harmonies. Great reaction, btw.
Geoff and Voiceplay dropping songs the same day.
Love your appreciation for Geoff and his many talents. He and wife Kathy do it all. Y0u can see and feel his joy for singing.
Rains of Castemere becomes Carol of the Bass.
Geoff throws down an epic dark moody ghosts of Christmas future rendition.....
I’m glad you like this. Happy Christmas this was so epic so spine tingling….Geoff knows how to sing right to your heart and soul.
I have NEVER heard a Christmas song I liked as much as I enjoy this....and I'm 64.
68! OMG!
Geoff's sweet silver bells vibe: You will have a VERY merry Christmas or else! This is so epic, the heavens rattle every time this song is played.

Some are thinking he's not doing all the Bass. Can you let all them know.
@@jameswilliams4566

He has several shorts on TH-cam with him singing live.

The cover art work says it all! Big bells crashing down into our world!
Great reaction to that holiday cannon-fire. Whew. I also liked your funky outro noises. 😂
It is sooo epic!! I’ve listened to it like 20 times since Geoff released it on Patreon last week and it’s as epic each time as it was the first. My whole car was vibrating from the bass.

And so damned clear and so much fortitude!!!! I can hit those, but I'm embarrassed to after hearing his!!!
Love this
I absolutely love and adore your reactions. You are so cute with how happy you are and how excited and positive you are. It's so lovable.
Dude, that distorted bass is HIS VOICE!!!!!!!! Safe to say, he's got some massive bells!!!
VP also dropped "Zat You, Santa Claus?"
Why is he turning into the pipe organ??? (I don’t actually care - it’s wonderful!!!)
I need more christmas music in this genre please!
Wow 😁
Carol of the rumbells
Thanks Klown 😊
Just... delicious...
Who knew you could use Carol of The Bells as music to as you go off to fight a war
Happy Holidays
I have found there is so many epic and dark Christmas songs on TH-cam lately
Allô Klown from Québec 👋
Yeah I think multiple of the geoffs were harmonizing/layering some subharmonics (... idk if thats what he actually did tho i'm not a music pro)

It's like someone decided to put an elden ring boss battle in a festive style!.
It's carol of the bells. Nobody ever said they were small bells.
Who sang this song? Thor, Jack Skellington, Bruce Willis or Smaug? Great reaction. Geoff slayed this song. Dang!
Hey can you listen to wicked game when geoff singed it I recommend it
bass harmonics are super low in his B0 range, or as we like to call it his dragon voice
