Good to see TOPS putting thought into a quality Kydex sheath. I really don't like the nylon sheaths they have, and it's really the only thing stopping me from buying some of their knives. This knife looks like a winner to me.
@ Tim , i saw another U-Tuber there at the Tops booth yesterday and he was checking out the new " El - Chete " a new heavy chopper blade , but the guy didn't get any real specifics on it like MSRP , weight , thickness length and most important when it'll be available ?? i was on their web site but can't find any info on it . Did you happen to do a video on this new blade but just haven't up loaded it yet ?? or can you pass by the booth again tomorrow for a look see ??
In the edged weapons knife communities there are so many solutions, one that you may want to add to your education skill set that the Military and Law Enforcement community has been successfully using is trainingknives.net/july-2018-knife-defense-offense-certification-specialist-instructor-course/ . For a last ditch knife, I think that sheath is terrible. The dagger grind also carries an inherent risk to the user while drawing and wielding it. Sorry TOPS, but this is a no go for me. I like the finger ring and the size is close...but then it falls apart.
I dont understand your comment. You are going to draw a back up knife with the blade oriented towards the user in all cases if you use reverse hand on your non strong side.
This is exactly the knife I’ve been looking for. Small and slim enough to edc with the right size blade to do it’s business.
