I worked at a company, that kept sending yearly gift baskets for customers that was no longer with us in a 3 year period, because we knew we had the best customer service and 70% of our customers came back, after their 3 year binding with another IT hosting firm ended.
yeah absolutely. puts them back in mind... should they be in the middle of a shitty experience with another provider, there's the basket sitting over there as a reminder of the good times.

What a weird assumption to make. That's definitely not true at all
I would actually assume so as with the more famous "No God Please No," the script just said "[Michael yells]" and Steve Carell made a meal out of that action. And that also goes with Leslie David Baker (Stanley) where the script goes "[Stanley Yells At Ryan]" results to "Boy have you lost your mind cuz I'll help you find it."
The original script was probably just a blank sheet of paper. Steve carell and others just did whatever and they recorded it and made it into an episode 😂
The other day somebody brought in a box of turtles to work. Yesterday I noticed the box was gone, and Michael’s meltdown has been in my mind ever since. 😅

Not really, it was just him overreacting to feeling threatened that someone he had authority over now has authority over him. That side of fanboy-ing over Ryan is almost nonexistent when he becomes boss, and it sort of turns to scorn. He returns to adoring him when he once again has power over him.
