For one the girl that Carson was messaging, Sam, keeps claiming he is a groomer which is not correct for the format she says (groomer) is in. She says in one of her tweets she says things like “a groomer is a mentally manipulative person” and “threats are kinda what groomers do” things like this, incorrect.the correct definition of a groomer is "grooming is the action by a pedophile of preparing a child for a meeting, especially via an internet chat room, with the intention of committing a sexual offense. Also she stated that Carson was not a pedophile which a groomer is a pedophile. Making the situation escalate she waited a year for herself to speak up about the issue. Making it seem more traumatic and worse on Carson’s end of the story. Carson on the other hand was not very comfortable with the things happening about sam. As a conversation on discord shows. She states “The thing is i still really want to talk to you, even if it means i'll get hurt” as Carson follows “how” sam says “it just is” Carson then replies with “you're 17 and that gives me the heebi jeebis” implying he was a bit scared about the situation and he isn't completely in the wrong. Sam ends up saying “idk maybe we should just Stick to the plan” meaning they talked about a discrete way to get away with this which viewers were never shown the “plan” beforehand. Moving on to age consent. Sam and Carson both live in America(USA) meaning for them the age is 18 and Sam just turned 17 when this all started Carson was about to turn 20 meaning he was 19 (2 year age gap). On Sam's twitter she ends up saying “if an 18 y/o and a 30 y/o were together they would be “consenting adults” which is correct. However Sam was a year off being a “consensual adult”. Sam was still 17 and able to make choices of her own. If she wasn't comfortable with this she could have blocked Carson but instead she chose to ruin Carson's life with a quick twitter post.
