@@patrickst-arnaud9814 Hi! It depends on the charger you use, if using the cable included and the charger of 65W, it takes 1.5hrs to make a full charge for the battery
Bettery indicates 39% remaining and stop charging and powering devices via any port . It shows 12.4 V under the U indicator but no power output at all, what a disappointment.
@@momanglobal Moman has to be the worst battery I ever had!!!. Swelled and cracked on first charge in 24 hours. Despite sending back tracked post with receipt of delivery I till this point have never heard back with a replacement despite many emails. AVOID!! AT ALL COSTS!!!
Amazing Mark! I just started on my V-mount battery (one battery to power them all) journey and your explanation of the battery usage is awesome. Now I just gotta figure out D-tap cords and what I need next to power all my rig’s gear. Thank you!
Great review Mark! I have a request: I really really enjoyed the video on how to shoot and color correct HLG3 footage. In your latest livestream, you said that it's good to shoot just standard picture profile on the ZV-E10, especially in lower light situations or in the studio. Can you make a video on your settings and also how to import it to Davinci Resolve? Thanks so so very much!!!
well in very lowlight situations - there are no settings. I just use picture profile off and a shutter speed of 1/50, lowest aperture the lens has and auto ISO
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thanks, but I was wondering more about the gamma and all that. In the hlg3 video, you had it at convert to rec709 gamma 2.2. Is that for mac screens too? Or just windows? I read somewhere that if I have a mac screen I need to set it to Rec 709-A? Thanks though...
Congrats on the sponsorship! Thanks for the video. I am still trying to decide if I "need" a V-Mount battery. Most likely the answer is no but that hasn't stopped me before :-). Cheers. EDIT: Ok based on the crazy deal ($25 coupon plus your code) I just went ahead and ordered with your link. That money truck will be making yet another deposit soon :-)
Mark, I hope you can reply to this post and explain what is on the front and top of that camera rig you hold up right at the start of the video. What is that in front of the lens, and what is that pointing down mounted on the top?
Just out of curiosity because I have three of these, is there a reason why they don't seem to be able to charge up to 100%, even using the D-Tap charger that is recommended? Also, is there a way to discharge these batteries, or any need to do so for battery conditioning/charging? Thanks in advance!
Mine charges to 100% not sure why yours isn't doing that. For optimal health, Moman recommends you charge the battery to at least 50% once every six months.
Oh, hi Mark! I have one question about the Catalyst Browse workflow. You said in your previous videos that for every minutes of captured video it needs to render 3 minutes. But for me it is 5 minutes for every 1 minute of video. What am I doing wrong? 5 minutes seems a bit long... I have th M1 Pro Macbook Pro base model. It shouldn't take that long, should it?
It really depends on the file and the Ram - my old intel mac worked faster with catalyst than the my m1 macbook air. But yeah - 3-7 mins is typical for a minute of footage. Hopefully they'll optimize it soon and make it faster. It's the biggest drawback with it and why many people stay away. I just make sure I can leave it running in the background while I do other things.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I think it might really be a apple silicon issue (very uneducated guess) I could imagine it has something to do with the Rosetta emulation, or whatever it's called, because by MacBook STRUGGLING trying to render all the Catalyst Browse files.. 5 minutes is almost a dealbreaker. Shot a wedding for about 2 hours and had to literally render the entire day... 10 hours!! was not fun...
this is a gear review channel. so technically it is a shopping channel. Every video on the channel is about a product unless it’s a tutorial. This one is a sponsored video about a product. In fact, it’s the only sponsored video out of the 300 videos I’ve done. I chose it as the first sponsored video because it’s the best v-mount battery that I have ever used.
20 YEARS IN THE INDUSTRY and THIS IS THE WORST battery I ever had...Cracked and swelled in 24 hours of charging Tested again cracked more..Dangerous!! AVOID...and no after sales service to speak of despite promises of a replacement !!!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS
well that's terrible service. I have a bunch of these and they're all working perfectly after heavy use. Sounds like you got a faulty battery and it should have been replaced immediately.
Niceee job! All we need is not only POWER99PRO battery but Mark's great detailed tutorial😜😜
True that!
How long does it takes to charge via Usb-C?

I have two of these and they are all I need!

A light on the battery would be cool.
You're right!! THAT could have been an improvement to suggest
EXCELENTE 👌
Great job on the video Mark! Thanks for making it. "Lager"... Canadian for "Apple Juice".
Yes - that is the translation 😂😂
Interesting🙌
Great video! How long does it take to charge via 65w Usb-C?
Thank you so much! Ordered one because i just was searching good one 👍 can you give us the link to that video you Lektionen ?
Greetings from Germany

there’s always a use for a V-Mount battery. Tha is for thinking of me!!
Hi Mark. Your reg looks very intresting. would you be able to tell me where you got the parts from.
Grandioso
Well, now we know more about these batteries and what you drank once you finished recording 😆🍻🍻🍻
ha - yeah - i left my editing apple juice in the shot by accident 😂😂
Man, I was thinking about getting the Smallrig VB99 batteries, now I’m not so sure compared to these bad boys. Thanks a lot Mark 🙄😂
smallrig make great batteries for sure - but you cannot beat the features and form factor of this Moman.

external monitor (top) and matte box bro (front)
I was expecting assault and battery, but I still watched it
On the way. I've sent someone to your house.
Now I wished that I waited to get this one instead of the original 99 . I would like the USB c port for its uses.
the original 99 is such a solid workhorse though. that usbc port is great so it’s nice to have, but I still use the 99 original all the time
Bien
Does this have the ability to turn the battery off? Or does the battery continuously run even when not in use?

Reminder, never put lithium batteries in checked luggage. Always carry your batteries in your carry on bags.

I honestly read this as Mormon power at first, thought you’d found religion 😂
😂😂😂 I would try one if they made one
little heavy on the promos mark... this turning into a shopping channel?

i bet your electricity bill shoots up after charging that monster..
haha. I charge about 10 of them at once - so I won’t notice another 🤣
Charge them at the office ;)
Woman power? 😂
