My nephew caught a chain on the chin. No beard. After they filled in a few gaps in his jaw with some bone from his hip, and a few fake teeth, he now always wears a safety beard. But I believe the intent is mostly cosmetic.
Damn Adam, had I known you were in the States, I'd have bought you a beer! Of course, that would have required a roughly 18 - or 19-hour drive by one of us, so... Hope you enjoyed your stay sir Cheers
It was good. Lord..Atlanta is the asshole of America. That's why the peacemaker on the hip. You go afew miles and you will always find better food, friends, beer, and REDNECKS!
A mate of mine was working next to a tensioned winch wire. It was running across the deck at a height of about 3 inches. The wire gave way and the resulting whip back smashed both his ankles. Took him a long time to walk again. So when I see foolish people standing next to tensioned chains or wires, it grates. They have no concept of what they are dealing with. I loved the film, it was brilliant. Great to see Adam and friend repairing the Chieftains over there.
up big boys are very beautiful trains. im not about to get killed by english railfans here, but yall have to believe that i think american trains are much more loud and fun to railfan. wish we could have high-speed though.
Nice to see your reputation for fixing these 'beasties' has crossed the 'pond'. Good on you for the work you, the lads and Ted do!. Nice one!. Nuff said. 🙂
If you want a real car, don’t buy anything American. They drop to bits like a clowns car, two days after the warranty runs out. There’s a good reason that nobody in the developed world buys American cars apart from Americans. Japanese or German (which includes Ford Europe, designed and made by Europeans for Europeans)
@@John-yf8qh america did get foisted with Rover's at one point, badged as Sterlings. they also pay hilarious amounts of money for imported doggy old LR defenders..
Union Pacific restored a Big Boy and it's up and running and does regular trips for the public. There were 24 built and the one running is # 4014 which was the best one left in preservation, situated in a railway museum in California. Work started in 2013 and took around 6 years to complete. Apparently there are 8 out of the 24 left and another Big Boy restoration is being considered.
@@jeremyshearer3885 If I recall correctly, 4012 at Steamtown (the one in the video) is the second best example and is in better condition than the others. However, it wasn't chosen to be fully restored because the bridges out of the area couldn't handle the weight.
Nice work there, our guy in the Americas. 8:49. Bloody hell that is a lot less armored than I thought it would be! I know it's a 1960s MBT but figured the underbelly armour would be thicker than that!

They were not the heaviest, nor the longest, nor the most powerful, but they were undoubtedly very big and very wonderful. Having a 9mm on your hip at all times is the American equivalent of carrying a Leatherman
You'd probably be in trouble over here for an open carry Leatherman.
Haven't they seen the WWII cartoon by Bill Mauldin? When your tank "breaks a leg" sometimes you have to put it down humanely.
just in case you find a possum for dinner.
That wasn’t a 9mm,,, that was a .45. And it appears it was a Glock.

That Steam Loco was impressive. Known as The Big Boy, they only made 25 in that class and were later converted to run on Oil as opposed to Coal.
