37 of Bob Taylors 39 goals scored for Gillingham between August 1998 and November 1999. (The only ones missing are the 2 he scored against Colchester in the Auto Windscreens Trophy).
5:06 - simply one of the best hattricks I've ever seen. Like ianb07 I was behind the goal that day and I couldn't believe it. He came on as a half time sub as well!!
The hattrick against Bristol City was stunning. He was injured, left on the bench with tendonitis. First half was a dire 0-0 - Super Bob was introduced and scored 3 belters. I miss this era so much. I feel so lucky to have seen the Pulis Taylor and early Hess years. Even if we have players and a team like that, the atmosphere will never be the same again :(
One of the best players I ever saw live. His hat trick against bristol city was out of this world. I think bergkamps famous hat trick at Leicester was around the same time, Taylor’s was better by a mile for me. What a player and great time to watch the Gills
even though i live in pompey now. always been a gills fan.started watching when yeo.gibbs hunt were playing.charlie crickmore was like a greyhound.......
Happy Happy Days !, SBT quite simply the best striker ever in a Gills shirt, as people have already said below, the two games that stand out for me was Fulham "that header" !!!, dont think ive ever gone as mental when he scored and the Bristol City hat-trick, i was sitting right behind the goal, the most amazing hat trick ive ever ever seen !!
Great watch even though i'm an MCFC fan. Still a couple of us left that appreciate how important Bob was in nearly stopping, and getting us to where we are today. That goal at home to Birmingham which sent us into the Blackburn game for promotion to the Premier League was vital! Good luck for the season ahead.
A lower-league Alan Shearer, and an absolute club legend, despite only playing 70 games. Poaching tap-ins, powerful headers, long-range thunderbolts, long-range curlers, he had the lot. Hope he's doing well in retirement. My personal memory was an Auto Windscreens Shield game at Colchester where I think Gills won 5-0 or 5-1. Super Bob scored an absolute belter. Might've got a hat-trick actually. Not shown in this clip due to being a Mickey Mouse tournament.
Holy s**t! We drew or won every game he scored in, no losses. City game at Wembley was a draw, Penalties is a decider. What a true Legend & I was truly gutted the day he went to City.
THE greatest striker in Gillingham history. In my opinion.

Arguably the most natural finisher the club has ever had

Outstanding, what a player.
A true hero. A fantastic time for The Gills.

STARTED WATCHING THE GILLS IN 1984 AS A 11 YEAR OLD BOY AND HE WAS TRULEY THE MASTER.
Wow. What a video. Looking forward to seeing his hattrick against Bristol City again!!
Legend, so sad when he went to City, but without him we still got to the Quarters of the FA Cup and promoted, but I still missed him! UP THE GILLS!
What a player!! I remeber that game at burnley like it was yesterday.
good go, the old rainham end. ahh, the memories :)

He was also playing at an even lower level of fitness than usual as he was injured. A superb hattrick.
Liking the Championship Manager font.
i reckon we'd have won the league if he hadn't joined city that year
Leg-end.
Scored a hat-trick against stoke the day I was born :)
He use to work at my school but left and now works in the Norwich city academy.
Seems two teams had a Super Bob, West Brom and Gillingham.
And now weve got Lewis Walker lololololol .. couldn't afford Bob's boots now
