The Strat Guthrie @22:32 uses for his majestic solo still has the shop stickers on the pick-guard and I love the idea that it was a loaner, ended up back on display and was then bought by someone, it sits in their bedroom and they have no idea the of the power and beauty that was channelled through it.
Bloody steve wilson claims he's hit really a guitarist but more a vocalist, keys and songwriter....man the guy is a killer guitarist and knows dam good tone. His cd's are my gold standard albums for audiophile listening sessions.
22:38 even the assistent is glancing at guthrie. So cool to see that nobody seems to be able to resist to his genius :D It's just sooooo sunning to listen to him every time :o I wish I could have been there for one day only to see him do bis thing
This documentary resonated with me more significantly than it did the first time I watched it. I lost my dad recently and the packaging that Steven talks about rang very true with me. My dad and I were not as close as I wanted. So discovering parts of my dad’s life really reminded me of the album. It’s surprising to me how much I didn’t know about my dad.
I will forever love this album so much. I first listened to it back in 2017 and it resonated a lot with everything I was going through at the time. I listened to it time and time again, and the bleakness I felt in my life completely disappeared as soon as I submerged myself in its musical universe. I've discovered a lot of great music since then, but I don't think I've ever felt such a deep connection to any other piece of media.
best album of this millennium so far. Blackwater Park from Opeth is damn close in my books but for me this is better than anything from Porcupine Tree.
Steven has become a crucial player in my musical and personal life. These songs resonate deep even though I don't share the same life stories as the characters do. Had the pleasure of seeing Steven and Porcupine Tree recently. Spare no expense to experience these amazing musicians. Bring this catalog into your life. Enjoy.
even if I have listened to sooo many great prog and non-prog album, Hand.Cannot.Erase managed to create its own special corner inside myself amd it creates that kind of gratitude which makes you feel sadly happy...

Beggs, Govan, Minnemann, Holtzman and Wilson……..WOW!
should have been album of the year
its album of the millennium for me so far
How in the world are they still the best kept secrete. Thanks men for the years of work, passion and sacrifice..
I love this stuff. I would pay to spend time just hanging out and watching this happening
Ultimate line-up...
Bertwin van Gortel absolutely. This record and the Raven will not be topped by him. He’s married and stuff now. It’s a wrap
Guthrie...like OMG..don't get any better..other-worldly magnificent..pure music!

When you're playing opposite Guthrie, I can't blame anyone for doubting their skills.
Man, they couldn't have done this album without Guthrie! What a monster!
I still can't believe the array of awesome musicians he got together for this album. Amazing.
14:20 I thought this was some kind of guitar effect while listening to the album. Would never imagine that was actually a kid.

It really is amazing how the genius stopped in Hand Cannot Erase and just expanded in a beautiful record, there is so much in this album, brilliant

Same for me.

After that collaboration Marco was talking badly about Steven for not taking him to an award ceremony, he never understood his role as a companion.
Steven Wilson is an inspiration to me to still being a musician.
The bass lines by Beggs are brilliant! Love the band but as a bass player, Beggs is my god
