With the frog lures, you have to bend out the hooks a bit so they will hook the fish better when they attack it. The way those frog lures are made is to benefit of being weedless. So bend both hooks away from the frog, not too far....but you understand....

You will have to change your ride with that frog, your spin rod is to soft, try a 7,3 heavy action rod on 7,1,1 reel that should fix that issues. You also want to make sure your keeping the tension on the fish because once he jumps and there’s slack in your line, he will get off every time

Yeah Mac! Lol I use Spro poppin frogs / Kvd walking. I use bait caster 8:1 heavy rod for frogging hook up ratio will be better.

Sometimes with the top water frogs..it helps to bend the hooks up a lil with pliers. ( i will say be careful not to break the hooks)
