OK. Let me see if I understand this. The Ecuadoreans elect a socialist government socializing the economy which government then takes a loan from CCP China at crushing commercial rates and Ecuador agreed to put the CCP loan first in line in debt servicing all its debts, but gives construction control, work and material supply to CCP connected Chinese companies The project proves to be an engineering, economic, societal and ecological disaster. But now the USA State department has stepped in using American taxpayer wealth attempting to mitigate the many faces of the entire disaster?
Ivy league diplomatic brilliance and financial malfeasance on parade.

@@CN_SFY_General CHina love doing their debt trap. I forgot which country but they eventual took control of a port for 99 years close to India.

@@suspicious2delicious Actually, it's not a trap. Sri Lanka does not have the intention to operate the Hambanthota Port and turned it over to the Chinese. Actually, China is trying to make the port profitable: establish an industrial zone near the port and create some traffic demand so that the port can get started. If the port is started, this port will take much traffic from the port of Singapore to this port and it can thrive.

no, the problem is China. This dam went overbudget, bankrupted the whole package, and China went and took 80% of all oil that comes out of Ecuador for the debt. If America does anything, hopefully its nothing other than engineering because this place is Fcked

Not while china owns all the oil. The social issues and cracks caused the president Correa to have to flee his own country, and now china controls it.
