Bro the amount of times in previous Wildfrost videos he's been like "take a free noomlin card" and then waits for the enemy turn to play out is really funny. Granted sometimes he's just thinking more but defiantly not every time
Every final boss battle NL has to make one egregious error that kills his hero and ends the run. He managed to play around it this time by making and sacking a hero clone. Thats what i call adaptability 😂
And now has to beat it with the difficulty modifier bell on, then again with 2 bells, again with 3 bells, then get the jar, fix the jar, beat the last boss with 3 bells active, then fight 6 bosses all at once, and then finally actually win the game
@@PotionSmeller or just crown the soulbound skulls and a jun jun mask and kill anything in the first turn, no matter what the frost guardian is. Helpfully if you REALLY need to get rid of a especially annoying one.
A 5 overburn barrage smackback hero as the next boss... oh I'm pretty sure totally nothing's gonna go wrong, and no one will forget to keep that unit's health above the treshhold to prevent a massive run-ending chain reaction xD
I think its a shame as it removes some of the consequence of having a unit die, and also makes for some cheesy deck builds. Some of the daily runs do have a modifier that straight up removes the card from your deck the first time they are injured though.
23:55 If your leader didn't have aimless, he'd die almost immediately from the thorns guy! Picking barrage for your leader is pretty scary because of the thorns fight in particular
If he had Barrage he would have hit Marrow and taken no damage actually. Barrage and Smackback has a weird interaction but we saw it at the beginning of the Bamboozle fight.
His sheer disrespect for the 3-turn snow card for Shademancers is absolutely wild. So many opportunities to use it and instead the mad man hits the bell when it's at 1.
I never comment on TH-cam videos, but I must if there's a remotest possibility that my encouragement could help you continue this Wildfrost saga. The Wildfrost content is great, please don't stop
The two times he gets his hero's clone killed out of sheer luck that he inadvertently put the clone in the position that was getting smoked I could feel the Joker toxins creeping deeper into my brain
the problem is its timer is SO SLOW! snoof's fast counter and snow application is so much more useful, and it is ALWAYS useful, compared to booshu who may heal when you don't need to be healed
A six turn timer is just death though. The Shadow Clan has enough ways to manipulate health that they don't really need that sort of thing. Chiki and Monch are their big summon keys and both of them scale their own health, and Shadow Clan has less need of health in long fights than anyone else because if you have a couple non-consuming masks you can just toss an endless wave of summons into the enemy's face. I did a run earlier with the Shadow Clan using a Big Berry with Teeth generation to self-heal on hit and honestly wound up sidelining him as a tank a lot because I could just toss a Fallow in the way of the hits anyway. Some of the other companions are worth a look, mind - that slot isn't just the Snoof Show. Loki has a fast but aimless Demonize that can do good things, and Sneezle and the teeth one are decently tanky if you're okay with the knowledge that you're probably phasing them out later.
@@Kestral287 I often prefer booshu on shadow clan to snoof cause the healing can really let you steal some midgame fights with barrage and teeth- stuff that snoof can struggle on- Plus, sometimes on the guardian and true final boss when you have to go for insane stall plans where your rotation doesn’t have space for a healing card of any kind. In many of those cases, the low counter frontline single freeze just gets outperformed by heal consistency, especially when you can +5 consume charm your pickleberry barrage, and/or get a +health charm on booshu Totally agree that fallow is busted, and i find mysef pleasantly surprised at booshu healing fallows to survival breakpoints too!!
@SwogFrog I actually love Snoof for the frost guardian even uncharmed, because for Shade buying an extra turn gets you to another Mask pretty easily to just absorb the hit, especially in cases where you aren't on double mask (though granted, I find myself taking Fallow Mask extremely aggressively as I play with them more, which makes Snow matter less). A lot of the good strategies that become bosses can also fold to well placed Snow; I'm thinking of things like big Smackback or large multiattackers. Boshu is decent for the Teeth fight for some compositions, but I find that you're normally pretty good into that fight anyway. Overburn strategies use more cards than normal so they can handle both aspects of the fight better and the reliance on summons helps mitigate Teeth a lot; I just don't really care about Junjun or Fallow damage. Builds leveraging their own Teeth also don't super care about that fight but those are actually builds where I like Boshu most because they need health back. I find Shade usually had Barrage pretty easy too because I just yeet a lonely Junjun into the path but for builds that are more companion heavy those are probably a lot worse for sure.
Had a win on Booshu, the easiest I’ve ever had, on a healing build. Being able to tank hits and just focus on not allowing one unit/boss to become a one-shot of your team, just gives you so much space. If you think about it, half the encounters you are hamstrung because you can’t ignore the smaller units, with a healing build you can. It changes everything!
I thought that a companion dying whilst injured caused perma-death but then you just kept the egg at 4 hp and i was like, that makes that card a lot easier to use than I thought
He really tried to throw that final boss so hard and still failed to lose, what a champion. I didn't believe so many misplays could be done in a winning effort, title not clickbait (real).
I was going to put this in the background but this run way too good. Also after I started playing Sap finding it diffcult to watch old weekly that come as new vids. I guess I need to watch them as soon as they get released.
That commenter was completely wrong. Smackback does apply even if the unit dies. Check 19:50 when his unit attacks first for smackback, then a second time ticking down his timer.
If the unit dies from the thorns, the smackback does not trigger. The unit died from the overburn after the hit, so the smackback was already triggered. Now, I'm not sure if it still hits because of barrage (there were 2 units still in the lane) or because a triggered smackback has to hit something.
Now that I'm thinking, maybe the barrage considers all enemies in lane as one single target. So even if it dies from thorns, there is still the other enemies as a live target. I had a run with a Big Berry with thorns, smackback and frenzy (but no barrage) and was always sad when the thorns killed the attacker because the smackback would not trigger.
@@arthurcoser exactly what I’m thinking. It’s just hard to see sometimes with the timers causing an attack to simultaneously proc Great counter build if NL has to fight this boss is silence or snow. He had 0 damage so smackback won’t matter if silenced.
