Anheuser-Busch Rank-and-File Focus: DJ Edwards

It’s been three years since DJ Edwards started working at the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Jacksonville, Fla. The Teamsters Local 947 member wants to work at the brewery for years to come, but to do that he and his fellow Teamsters need the strongest contract possible.
“What’s really important to us is that we get a fair contract. We support our families, we support our community, and that could be in jeopardy,” Edwards said.
5,000 Teamsters at 12 Anheuser-Busch breweries from coast to coast are united, having voted by 99 percent to authorize a strike in 2024 if the beer giant fails to come to terms on a strong agreement.
“We want to take care of our brothers and sisters not only in Jacksonville, but at our breweries all over this country,” Edwards said.
