How I got the world record for mining a chunk in Minecraft

- Finally, I got a mine a chunk world record, and I did it with its most difficult iteration, 1.18. In Minecraft update 1.18, bedrock is moved 64 blocks lower. This means either twice the mining, or an amazing strategy like what we used.
Note that there are faster 2-player mine a chunk speedruns, but they are on earlier versions of Minecraft. With the 1.18 update, bedrock was moved 64 blocks down, so I think this should just be considered a different category.

Today we tried the speedrun of mining a chunk in minecraft 1.18., and even got a world record! I got this with my good friend PointCrow, and am very proud of the speedrun. If you don't know, a chunk is a 384-block tall 16×16 segment of a Minecraft world. Chunks are the method used by the world generator to divide maps into manageable pieces. Not Minecraft, But Water Rises or Minecraft, But Lava Rises, or any other but challenge like that. This is a speedrun / speedrunner of Minecraft against mining an entire chunk in 1.18+. Luckily I had company this time so I didn't go that insane...

@@earthwormjim420 People have brought it up to them various times and they just don’t care. Just like they don’t care about adult ads like condom ads being ran on videos for children or videos that claim they’re for children but show highly explicit material. They’re far more concerned about making sure that their creators don’t say swear words or promote political ideologies that are to the right of Marx. Besides, while we were dealing with all these issues they decided it was a great idea to remove the dislike counter to, ‘make creators more comfortable not having to see it,’ although they’re the only ones who can and have to every time they open the Creator Studio, meaning that was absolute bullshit and it’s actually about protecting the feelings of corporations and the White House channel who were getting dislike bombed into oblivion for not actually caring about whatever stupid product they were trying to sell or political ideology they were trying to push. The platform has lethal cancerous tumors, but the people leading it are too busy focusing on whether or not the platform needs a haircut.

The editors comments were lowkey the highlight of the video. It's just... nice to feel that connection. To just hear someone talk about a small adventure in their day.

For the whole video I was like: "You guys DO know, you can get bonemeal from composters and use it on moss to mine out huge chunks of stone with hoes instantly? You know that right?" Can't say I'm dissappointed though. You and Eric both make extremely entertaining content and that stacked up here.
You just stated the obvious. I think the meta will evolve over the next couple hours and we’ll have runs faster on 1.18 than any previous version.
dont forget skeletons too, or bone blocks in the nether, that would be serious mossing business
@@vaisnavaspicher3470 wow the one Minecraft speed run where you want a soulsand valley start. Ok I guess this is how runs will go then. Check for lush caves nearby, now we have a branching path 1 find/make a skeleton farm 2 get soul sand valley nether start 3 compost extra moss blocks as you dig them out. 1 would be the most unlikely out of the three 2 would be up to random chance but doable and 3 would be the safest option.
Yeah right, goodluck building your skeleton farm and looking for moss when it takes less time to dig out whole chunk with a stone pickaxe.
@@shinobuoshino5066 you can speed run the nether and harvest bone blocks to use to grow sh*t tons of moss at a time
but of course you also need moss...

Eazy technically wasn't wrong calling the llamas camels because llamas are in the camelidae family meaning that their closest relative is the camel.

if you guys find any gold next time (if you do it again) you should use it to make picks too, because they have faster mining speed than diamond, but can only mine up to iron and have lower durability.
