You get the rewards of whatever the highest rank you hit during the season was, so you can derank all you want and you’ll still get those champ rewards if you hit it at any point.
I swear every good player is so nice I played against a s1 platinum and when I scored he said a nice shot and when I said thanks he done a heart and no problem And I won and he said gg with a heart and happy egg

Defense mindset… only commit to a shot if you are almost sure you will make it otherwise just play good defense because trust me, your teammate will constantly commit to offense
I am no longer good enough to coach, but I would say one problem is blaming everything on your teammates instead of yourself. Teamates are always making mistakes but if you play expecting mistakes and cover them on defense you will rank up much easier
