- Rocket League freestyling has a huge problem. Freestylers claim they have the best mechanics in the game, and yet they never rank up. I'm making a video to finally expose the fatal flaw with freestyling by creating an epic challenge.

I thought pogo was something only freestylers did, and not a simple mechanic.
I met a freestyler once in a Champion cup, not gonna lie he was a really bad player, saw the tracker and he was plat, he got angry cause i called him boosted, so he challenged me to 1v1 (i refused the freestyle 1v1), and i just won by ~10 goals, he said bo3 but i kinda threw (on purpose cause i was bored) and still won by a few goals.
He said i was only good at dribbling and flicking as an excuse, his carries with airdribbles where clean (better then mine), but non of his air dribble was a treat, and he was really really bad at challaenging, saving and every basic mechanics.
After that he said he got a youtube with 50k subs and that i shouldn't call a Plat casue he's a freestyler, yeah maybe vs other plats and in freeplay, but his air dribble and flipreset where clean, but non of them can ever beat a "good" defender, like he treats every shot as an open net and never even try to outplay the defender

facts ive hit double resets in diamond matches but took forever to stay at only C1
I am C1/C2 and can't do any of these or atleast close to any of em even in freeplay consistently. Maybe I should pick up a mechanic or two.
You can't air dribble with unlimited boost? Or even shoot over 110 kph
@@midorayo1149 I can airdribble but I cant get them in half of the time and maybe half of them go with no bounce.also 110kph is more than I can usually do with pinches.

That diamond has never played freeplay, you just have to hit the ball as hard as you can from kickoff and try to double tap, its so much easier

the reason they are failing most of the time is cause the guy won't stop talking. Even in the middle of the mechanics the freestylers are displaying this guy is constantly blabbing and putting pressure on them so they miss and he gets to give a cool title to the video. i am no freestyler and really not good at rocket league but anyone would get distracted when he keeps saying "oh it is free", "nice you have not failed so far" like we know what you are doing lol.
@@david6whatever751 it's not distracting? I freestyle while my friends are yelling in vc and it doesn't impact my performance. You don't realize how much effort this guy puts into his videos and you stated that you don't really play rocket league. Maybe you should stick to your own playing field

So, um... I'm really sorry to say this but the diamond looks like a regular diamond player and not a diamond freestyler... He struggles to air dribble and can't do a double tap, so I really doubt he's a diamond freestyler.
And don't say that I'm just a stupid hater... I could do these mechanics when I was diamond 1 or 2 (I'm diamond 3 / champion 1 right now)

Every freestylers weakness is playing at their own rank. Every freestyler smurfs and the goalie gives up instantly and doesn't even try to defend the net. Which lead to their "clips" on people who are just sitting there. It's actually pathetic. If you dont freestyle at your own rank you're shit period.
