In the comics Hulk's strength is tied to his anger. That much I know. But asking here, wasn't another aspect of his strength being that he became stronger after each fight? So even if he lost once, when he refought that person/thing he was more able to match them at strength level?
Never heard of that for Hulk but the character Doomsday from DC has something similar to that where he can never killed by the same thing twice and he always comes back. His unique biology brings him back from the dead or brink of death and makes him immune to whatever "killed" him. Hulk just growns stronger the angrier he gets.

What's raging is that other superheroes lasted longer in a fight, but the Hulk gets easily pummeled by Thanos. Yeah, this is Thanos, but still, the Hulk should've come back and gotten his rematch.
But here has a clear reason why the hulk loses easy here...
Unlike the rest of the Avengers, Hulk has no utter combat training at all. He might have experience thanks to his past battles, but Thanos had lived longer and trained to be a powerful warrior, reason why he could even best up Thor, Captain America and Stark combined even without the Infinity stones.
@@darakzoundrak2009 He has Hulk level strength with Captain America level h2h skills and as much battle experience as Thor. A lethal combo.
actually, here's a much better reason. Thanos has one of the infinity stones that gives him infinite powers in the universe. so no matter how strong the hulk is, the stones are the most powerful items. so Thanos had the advantage over the Hulk while he has the stones. that's why Thanos was able to beat him easily.

They did destroy the Hulk indeed. Not in this fight however, Thanos usually dominates the Hulk in the comics.

They built up Thanos as the biggest and baddes mf in the entire Infinity Saga for 10 years. They are not going to have him lose to Hulk immediately. Besides he already had the power stone when Hulk jumped him here and that stone greatly enhances the users strength. It is possible that a fight between Hulk and Thanos without any infinity stone would not be this one-sided.
