I heard the Largo turned into a song in 1974 at a performance of The Two Gentlemen of Verona. The most beautiful movement in all music. Had it played at my wedding with a reading from The Song of Songs. Magic.
It was the RV93 that brought me to classical music when I was 10 years old. This work was the musical theme of a television thriller. "Tatort" That's when I learned to love Vivaldi.
just superb. To me Vivaldi was/is the ultimate and the best. The most complete musician and composer. He is so under rated. This composition along with many of his others is profection marriage of instruments and musical melody 👏👏
I fell in love with the Largo part of this piece many years ago, before the WW Web existed. I had heard it in a movie soundtrack as a young woman, and was so moved by it, that I wanted it played at my wedding one day. But I didn't know the name of it, mistook it for part of the Four Seasons, and I couldn't find it. Turned out my fiancé's folks provided a lovely church choral group, so all was well! Nonetheless, I'm so very happy to hear this again!
@@varkony60 Yes, that's my only criticism, that the largo section could have done with being just a smidgen *more* largo - to pull even harder on the heartstrings!
Me too mate...............since my childhood actually. There was a very popular programme on Danish TV, and the theme song was the second movement.................everybody who grew up in Denmark in The 70s.............knows this piece of music.................Take care @94picton............❤
utube does this to all of the old videos they sponsored. so go complain to them pls if u know where to contact. there's no reason for dem to do sheit like dat bc. memory bytes r cheap n they have 10s of thousands of servers they can add more memories in their network n they get nuf $$$ from all these pop-up screen sheit adverts now, which even B4 that scheme, they were n still getting good amt of $$$ from the ISPs we use everytime we vist utube's site. No reason for us to tolerate junk repeating adverts.
I've always tried to imagine the mood of a composer, like Vivaldi, when composing a work. This piece speaks to me of both joy and quiet reflection all at once.
For years I have been trying to find the tune that was played on the CBS Morning News with Hughes Rudd back in the early 70's, and now, I have found it, "Largo"! Bellissimo!
A junção é perfeita!
I agree that this ranks with any of the seasons concerti, but there are some from l'estro armonico that are no less amazing - and Bach seems to have thought so, too, having reorchestrated several for either 3 or 4 harpsichords or organ.
This ist of course brilliant and perfect but for me the interpretation by Narciso Yepes is just unbeatable, especially the Largo is pure magic, he's playing it one octave lower.
I get sense that the guitarist isn't feeling anything much in the second movement and the piece just breezes along. This is one of the most touching inward-turning movements Vivaldi wrote and I'll say this. Vivaldi could NOT have composed this piece unless he felt something, no matter how much of music-making machine he and composers of that era were. If not passion it was LOVE that drove anyone to choose a perilous career composing. Vivaldi composed because he could not have done otherwise....like breathing.

If all life could be this wonderful.
it's supposed to be lute
I agree too!
I agree too!
It's so sublime I agree with you totally and the largo is beautiful !!
soñar es gratis amigo ;c
I’m 20 years old again this inspired me so much took lessons for 6 years ❤
Gosh, Williams is so good. No drama, just dramatic, clear, wonderful playing.
And I just love Vivaldi!!! 🌷🌱
Music has the power of uniting people all over the world regardless of religion, skin color or political opinion. This is beatiful.
Isto mesmo! Música linguagem universal !!!
Sou do Brasil e amo Música Clássica, todos nós ouvimos e entendemos, não importa qual país estamos!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Vivaldi certainly composed some of the most delightful music ever written. He would love this performance...I know I do.
I heard the Largo turned into a song in 1974 at a performance of The Two Gentlemen of Verona. The most beautiful movement in all music. Had it played at my wedding with a reading from The Song of Songs. Magic.
Vivaldi's was so ahead, his music tends to have more views/streams online than many other famous composers.
The happiest 10 minutes in music. Everybody listens to this 3 times a day, a whole lot of the world's problems just end in a week.

Usually they used to play it slower. That would radiate a bit more dignity - in my opinion.
The haunting movie, that this piece was featured in, is called Bermuda Depths.
@@varkony60 Yes, that's my only criticism, that the largo section could have done with being just a smidgen *more* largo - to pull even harder on the heartstrings!
I first heard a bit of this played on a guitar by one of the young Cowboys in the movie of the same name starring John Wayne…
This has featured in my life since my teenage years and is still magical to me. Heaven on earth.

Maestro Williams & the Songbird of the Baroque,Vivaldi! Wonderful !!
Jesse, we need to Cook
Finally I get to see a dvd quality version of this. So many years I’ve watched blurry versions of this. That setting is so beautiful.
I agree! It’s like I just put glasses on after years of blurry vision!

Utterly beautiful. My go-to music in stressful times.
Zertifiziert intergalaktischen! Halleluyen! Allahu Aardvarken! 🌹

Very beautiful rendition. The tempo is most appealing.
Simply heavenly!!! John Williams is The Maestro here!!

Elegant and perfect! Extraordinary performances by all, in a magnificent and beautiful setting. Bravo!
One of my favorite classical pieces. Timeless. Love the drive of the Allegro section.
For years I have been trying to find the tune that was played on the CBS Morning News with Hughes Rudd back in the early 70's, and now, I have found it, "Largo"! Bellissimo!
John Williams es insuperable con Vivaldi. Ese concierto me hace aguar los ojos.
I yearn to immerse myself in this beautiful world ! How beautiful
Antonio certainly saw the world vastly differently than the rest of the mere mortals on this amazing ball on which we all live.
Magnifica interpretazione. Williams come sempre bravissimo.

Great introduction to classical music !
Understandeable and elegant !
DON ANTONIO LUCIO VIVALDI 🇮🇹🎻MY IDOL 🙏FOREVER THE BEST MUSIC 👍👌✌️R. I. P. 🖤🙏
Mi himno cuando yo era pajarito ❤
How do they maintain a straight face? It’s so beautiful I’d burst into tears if I was playing this
The world's first perfectionist guiarist!!!!
Beautiful interpretation by the mastero.
Thanks for having published this new version! Muuuuch better quality and no audio/video sync issues...🤗
I kept looking up Vivaldi but it was by John Williams that I knew this beautiful song…of Vivaldis
Vivaldi fue el compositor de esta pieza. Obviamente no vas a encontrar nada tocado por él mismo porque murió hace muchísimos años.
Pure joy - a million thanks to all involved!
A movement of extreme beauty bookended by two vigorous and completely underrated movements. Frick the Four Seasons - this is the best Vivaldi piece!
Un genio. Maestro de Maestros de la guitarra. Una precisión que impresiona.
La melodía la hace aún más deliciosa.
Just perfect and what a setting to play such beautiful music
The setting is Islamic , Mashaa'Allah.
Excelente interpretación!!!!
With all the crap going on in the world right now, it' so nice to lose yourself in this beautiful music.
Transcendentals via the aesthetics,,,

The great Williams ! I like the second movement bit more slow but is me!?
So beautiful!
Beautiful
Beautiful scene, beautiful music, beautiful everything ❤️❤️
Excellent technical performance, but if someone plays this with emotion or passion, you'll cry.
Wow , what a great way to wake up
No delay! thank you sm for re-uploading!
La mejor interpretación de esta obra!! Sublime❤
I agree that this ranks with any of the seasons concerti, but there are some from l'estro armonico that are no less amazing - and Bach seems to have thought so, too, having reorchestrated several for either 3 or 4 harpsichords or organ.
Que inspiración este señor

Totalmente de acuerdo con tu comentario 🙂👍
Wonderful xxx
Beautifully played but I feel the pace of the second movement is a little fast for my taste.
👍
Pienso lo mismo. Un poco más lento. Saludos!
maravilloso
Search for this on Go🎶🎵🎶
Beautiful!!!
Fabulous!
Love John Williams
Czysta matematyka... te szesnastki i trzydziestki dwójki zachwycają...
I think this Vivaldi was genius.
Wonderful
Tesekkurler.
a master!
Heard this song on Sesame Street as a young child in the 70’s. Oddly this version is a little faster…
Gracias!!!

Sacred Joy
Despite the mastery of the leading instrument... never forget the other instruments' role :) It adds much volume and subtance to the piece!
Certifié intergalactique !🌹

I liked it a lute!!!!
3:28 - 3:32 so many questions... WHUT? what is the backstory here?!
