The negativity from other communities like ECTL, Kimocheese's and Quyet are due to their generally dismissive reception towards feedback.They are just basically arrogant close minded individuals that would not admit that they are wrong until the public opinion causes them to change their opinion and yet they try to present themselves as all knowing is what I think is the main issue here. This causes people to not really want to seek out information from these guys and have divided the community. Currently, there aren't many mainstream resources to be used as a source too, hence people will use you as a source. If you just mention that certain youtube videos as a source, your opinion is automatically disregarded to them and made fun of, even if the opinion holds truth and is backed up with data. I mean look at how many people that had to call out ECTL about how they reacted by insulting the community and think that Laffey II was not broken before they had to change their mind. They are legitimately the causes as to why AL have so little creators because creators are probably just tired to deal with these sort of people.
I second that sm. I only watch Jimmy and Suchiguma because of that. They are the only one that actually invest a lot of time and effort in Azur Lane and react well with comments and other opinions.

Edit: I just searched suchiguma on ECTL and literally the first message I see is Ciathel( ECTL eval) saying he is useless, Wilting an ECTL active member laughing that he is blacklisted from ECTL and the 3rd message about Suchi is Riceist calling him the R slur about his TL. Suchiguma really be living in ECTL's mind rent free LMFAO. They are literally so toxic lmfao, and people even defend these sort of behavior.

It's a matter of being humble in your knowledge and being acceptable of those with less, as they might make mistakes. Another one is being capable of standing for your opinions, but being bold enough to point out mistakes of others when they're clearly wrong. Unfortunately, both AL's official Discord channels and fan channels frequented by many veterans are extremely elitist and toxic; folks running them typically run to their defense, the moment someone points out they're wrong and presents the receipts.
We definitely need a consistent way to test both fleet and single ship builds that is available all year round, some kind of consistent benchmark would great.
