Usually a music artist has to "grow" on me but I knew Banks was dope from the first time I heard her a couple days ago. She's like Lorde, The XX, and a little bit of a Beyoncé vibe (you know like when Bey sings songs about men fucking with women's emotions and her girl power anthems and stuff). Banks is a gem!

I have absolutely no clue why people compare her and lana del rey. Yes, they both sound very sultry and dark, but that's where the similarities end! Other than a couple of songs the majority of Lana's make me want to slit my wrists. They're all so slow, sad, and depressing. BANKS is kick-ass. They all make me feel some type of way, like this song literally makes me feel like a goddess! She is so much less generic than ellie and lana.
