The tragedy of Flight 593 is almost unimaginable. The plane was actually recoverable but the pilots were so startled and disoriented, they couldn't tell up from down or, more specifically, left from right. Not sure if that's too high an expectation of people who were stupid enough to do what they did. Their kids in the cockpit, in the seat with hands on the controls. Just too reckless to believe.

Those two kids in the plane were not the cause of the accident, it was the fault of the two pilots for failing to identify what was happening. They could've stopped the turn before it got too steep but decided to sit there and scratch their heads instead of pilot the aircraft, and then when shit actually went wrong, they were giving Eldar the wrong/the most unclear instructions as to what he was meant to be doing (they shouted for him to hold the yoke, which he was already doing, then continued to shout for him to both turn it left and right, which is why he didn't make any flight control inputs at all while the aircraft was stalling). This was only compounded by the fact that the first officer, who was panicking himself, stalled the plane again (AND managed to structurally deform the wings quite a bit while he was at it).
"You'll only go to sleep in the first class cabin. Don't run there, or they'll fire us." Ah yes, letting your children sit in your place and fly the aircraft is fine, but having them take a seat in first class is just inexcusable. Ridiculous and unavoidable accident.

      Bottom line -
I'm a fan of any video showing the cause of a crash, as it helps promote the order of priority mantra - Aviate, navigate, communicate.

The even sadder fact is that the Aeroflot flight would have recovered by itself if they'd just turned the autopilot back on and left it alone while the computers sorted everything out. Eldar accidentally turned off the aileron management, then the pilots thrashed about and ended up turning off the rest of it. All they had to do was leave the controls alone and rearm the AP, there were even certain points during the problem where the aircraft was trying to sort itself out and the human pilots just interfered.
AF447 was a similar one - if they had done literally nothing at all, then in just a minute or so the sensors and readings would be back to normal and everything would be fine. Again, just turn the AP/FD back on and carry on to Paris.

In another interpretation, I heard that the Airbus A310 was the first model that when it is in Autopilot mode, if you move the yoke, it goes out of that mode and back to manual, but the pilots were not aware because they were not told in training about that so guy never thought if the kids play with the yoke it goes back to manual mode and that's why they first got confused because they thought it is still in autopilot which was not.

Concerning engine core lock, does the use of the word "lock" mean a windmill restart would've been impossible even if the target speed of 300 knots (and the related nose-down attitude) was reached? Or would reaching said speed be sufficient to overcome the "locked" engine cores? I'd presume that the effect of such airspeed is stronger than the what the APU could provide, since there were four unsuccessful restart attempts when using that particular feature.
Just curious; I'm not a pilot but I do follow this channel with interest. Thanks.

The answer is both yes and no. Core Lock means the rotating parts of the engine have become too tight to rotate, which would usually prevent even a windmill restart from working. However, the reason the parts are too tight (locked) is because some parts of the engine cool more quickly than others. Once the whole thing cools and the temperature normalises, the parts should be able to rotate as normal. It mostly just depends if you have enough time for the parts to normalise.

You post a video every 7 days, don't you? It has been 10 days since the last video already. Although they might still start posting again days after, but I believe it would still be a repost. And for those people who don't know, this channel has been reposting previous posted videos for like half a year already, which they just post a video that connects two previous posted episode and instead of a brand new story is being made. About half a year ago, this channel almost post a brand new story every week, they still repost that time but just BARELY. And to be honest, I don't think those accidents included in a same reposted video they've ever posted makes any contact, which means they don't meant to be serious to make a connected video, instead they are just busy, so I hope you just went busy for half a year instead of considering give up this job. You have left your true fans many memories, and even used to be the best air crash simulation channel around 2020 according to me.😢
