Phillip Brookes: Fantasy Variations , op. 38 (new upload for improved sound)

This is a second new upload of this piece, with greatly improved sound.
I wrote this in 1982 as an entry for a competition (it didn't win!). It is perhaps the most 'abstract' piece I've written.
The last movement - A Variety of Variations - is almost half the length of the work, and consists of a lot of sketches for 'variations' that I never worked up into individual movements.
This was perhaps the best time of my life - not that things have been so bad since, of course.
