    Running a pair of these, they are fantastic. Where should the master volume be set?

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      we normally run at noon position or 3 O'clock position, never had them wide open as it would limit early.

  • @RussHollinshead
    @RussHollinshead 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Looking at the input sensitivity slider switch... Which is the line and mic position? The whited area - is that the position of the switch slider... or is the the black bit in the diagram which is the position of the switch slider?

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Russ Hollinshead up for mic , down for line is what it appears...if you run line level into the thing with mic setting....the speaker will go into limiting really quick

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      When the switch is towards the LINE position , and switched away from the MIC , you can easily tell by doing a little exercise, lower the input volume on the box, start your audio source, flip the switch and one direction for mic it will be a heck of a lot louder into the input. be careful to give just a small amount of signal doing this, as the input sensitivity is much more open for mic input than line. when the volume is lower than the "other " setting you will have the speaker in LINE level input mode.

    Hi Trinityprosound, Thank you for the great videos. What sub would you recommend with the NXL24a. i want to have 2 tops 2 single 18s or very compact dual 15 to go with that.
    i checked some other reviews that say the RCF sub 8004 will work for most gigs but,loud rock bands you may need an extra sub. i dont have the space for that extra sub most of the time. Does the 9004 sub have more output? when are you guys reviewing the 9004? or is there any other sub options? thanx

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      For a single 18, the 8004 is the most power and the best bang for the dollar out there with 1250WRMS the 9004 is 1400WRMS but same max SPL as 8004, you get RDNET on the 9004. The NXL will give a double 18 like the 8006 a good run and certainly keep up with a double 18" subwoofer in that class. The only other small format subwoofer that does an amazing job is the TTS26A, but those are very pricey :-( we have sold a lot of the 8004's and everyone that has purchased with the NXL24's are really impressed with the sound and output of the rig.

    • @henryvanschalkwyk2133
      @henryvanschalkwyk2133 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      thank you very much. Last question. How do the 8004 compare to the jbl prx 718xlf? (the subs i currently have)

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They will kill them. the JBL looks only to be maybe 700WRMS, the 1500w is most likely peak or continuous. Does not really say how they get 134db from the box and what frequency that was taken at more likely above 100Hz. The RCF subs are true RMS power and their precision drivers. I have customers tell me that 1 of the RCF 8004 did more than 2 QSC KW181s

    How do you feel about the rcf nxl24a vs the fbt cla406
    and the subs 8004 vs cla118?

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      About the same output, just a bit of different look with the FBT, the 118 sub is amazing and is very close to the 8004, either system will be in your face for audio quality and output.

      @trinityprosound  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @trinityprosound

    Hi! How do you compare NXL24a with Evox 12 since they are almost of the same price range.

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those you can not compare as they are different systems , EVOX is complete with bass bin doubling as a LF driver and quasi subwoofer. The NXL24 is a different system and needs a dedicated subwoofer for the lower end. The NXL24 will provide so much more SPL level and can be expanded as well. NXL24 compares to similar products with FBT and db Tech in the 406 and IG4T.

  • @trevorjalla
    @trevorjalla 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Me again :) Used with subs, will a pair of NXL24A outperform a pair of dB DVX D12HP?
    And if talking 120º coverage, will a single pair of NXL24A outperform TWO pairs of D12HP. A splayed pair aside, that is.
    Lastly, and this would prob blow my budget, but I imagine TWO pairs of NXL24A configured either as a vertical stack (coupled horns), or as 'vocal only' inside pair - would be tough to beat. Would it trump single pair of TT25A for vocal clarity at 150ft?

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Trevor Jalla , No, 2 of the D12 will provide a ton of sound. You won't get that kind of output out of a single NXL24A. The NXL24 is amazing, but there is more power and coverage of the D12HP with a pair per side.
      For the column of the NXL24's that would be a formidable system for sure and be more focused straight out due to the nature of the boxes. But also look on line at this www.dbtechnologies.com/EN/Products/ingenia/ig4t_p2349.aspx they are coming out very soon. And has some beam steering ability as well. Possibly a better fit with the DSP than 2 NXL24's

    hi. how they do compare with db igt4? which one ... for live sound,thanks

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      very close, the IG4T has more power, but, the RCF has a larger HF driver and lower crossover point, but the SPL from them is amazing. With 2 per side and subs you can do 1000 peeps if you can get them stacked and high enough for coverage. IG4T has a bit more DSP and options, but both do a fantastic job and sound GREAT and easy to deploy, the IG4T is less weight due to the injection molded box it is in.

    @trinityprosound whats your 1st choice between the FBT CLA406 and RCF NXL24A? do u Have them in Stock ?

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +VDJ FLEX I think the NXL24A , but the CLA406 gives it a run for its money so to speak...I like the AMP better on the NXL24A. I don't have current stock, but they are in stock in New Jersey at RCF...and FBT

    How large of a crowd would you feel comfortable covering outdoors with one of these and an 8004 sub per side, classic rock/modern country?

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      with a single 8004 per side about 350 the nxl24 will out run the sub 2x 8004 better or an 8006 4x nxl24 and 2x 8006 750-1000 at acceptable levels

    • @loukrausmusicinc1539
      @loukrausmusicinc1539 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      trinityprosound Thanks. And how about a single NXL44 and sub on each side? I'm surprised that the 24 will outrun the subs. I heard the 24 inside with a single 8004 and the bass was overpowering the tops. But, of course, that's with some boundary effect.

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That top will outrun a double 18 sub. we did a video with the 44 and a TTS36A sub, from 100 feet out the top was there , but low end dropped off. If the NXL24 did not keep up with the 8004, something was set up wrong or the 24 not driven to match the 8004.

    • @yandasmobilemusicstoreinc6989
      @yandasmobilemusicstoreinc6989 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm. I asked and they were running flat eq with the output of the board straight to the 8004 and out of the hi-pass out to the NXL24. As I said, this was in a smaller room and I'm sure we were getting plenty of boundary effect from the room (about 32' wide by 60' long.).
      Final question: from simply a sonic quality difference, which would be your choice between the 24 and the 44 with subs? (Run of the mill music ranging from bluegrass to classic rock, no metal or rap/hiphop)

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would pick the 24s. plenty of output , easier to handle and can be stacked as events get larger and still have fantastic output. the 44's are nice but BIG

    How are they compared to the NX45? If I may ask.

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Really can't compare as they are a totally different type of speaker and system more focused in the vertical and wide dispersion horizontal, same great driver and lower crossover point of many of the large HF driver speakers from RCF. Many have bought and used for DJ and live band and are amazed at the sound quality and output of the NXL24's , and they can be doubled up for bigger events. Hard to do with typical trap speakers and get that quality of sound due to comb filtering effect, etc.

    Can I ask-- how does this speaker compare with say a pair of RCF ART 522a or ART 722a. I have RCF ART 522a and on paper these have a very similar response curve and max output to the tall skinner speaker - but I'm assuming the throw and horizontal dispersion of these NX L24a will be greater? What differences might I expect to hear if I swapped to these? I mostly do small rock band in small venues pubs etc with occasional outdoors event for around 400 people is.. I pair my Art 522a with a JBL PRX618 xfl (18", 1000w powered sub). Would appreciate your comments-- there is very little written about the NX L24a anywhere online. Thanks

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      On paper is where the similarities stop with these and the 522A's. This system is quite directional in the vertical axis, which the 522 is not. Very good pattern control forward and slighting downward to cover above and at peeps ear levels. These on sticks with a sub will out run the 522's and offer a much better sight line. The fantastic thing about these vs. the 522 is that you can combine two of them to get a higher SPL and better control of where you aim it/them, which with 522's the splay causes huge comb filtering to take place. This system, with 2 per side and a double 18 sub, would handle your events without issue and allow even larger events. I would say that one per side and a sub would do you indoor pubs, etc. without a problem. The PRX is a decent sub, but its 1000 watts is not true RMS, more like about 600-700 watts real life. The audio from the NXL24 is quite clear and pristine and very focused vertically so that you don't loose a lot on the ceiling and floor of a venue.

    • @andylewis6831
      @andylewis6831 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      trinityprosound Many thanks fro your quick informative reply. Much appreciated. And compared with the Evox 8..are the L24A significantly more powerful or not? They seem to be only 3db louder..(not stacked) but again, how in the real world might you expect my sub with 2* L24s compare with and Evox 8?
      I'm very surprised there is so little online about the L24A? Are they not selling?
      Many thanks for your advice.

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Andy Lewis the NXL24A compared to the EVOX 8 takes into consideration in the specs for the top and bottom box of the EVOX 8. The NXL24A specs are stand alone. The NXL is going to have significantly more output believe it or not just due to the long column line of the drivers and power supplied to them. The NXL are selling, we have sold a number for portable as well as install applications. Your subs will be a decent match, but I feel the NXL will out run them when things get loud.

    • @andylewis6831
      @andylewis6831 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      trinityprosound Thank you for your time. Very helpful. Sounds like you would recommend them then? I see most pics of them being used for vocal reinforcement in situations where an unobtrusive stack is preferred. But I would think that they would excel for acoustic instruments? I gather that this general type of speaker tends to give more even volume levels front to back of a venue than traditional speakers give? ie you don't blast the front row trying to throw to the back of the room. Do these actually do this? I read that some performers find this sort of sound presentation disconcerting from the stage and hard to get used to whilst others say that they can get away with less or no monitors.. what is you take on this? Sorry to ask so many questions but I hope that many others will find your answers as helpful as I am. I live in NZ and there is no stock in the country to listen to here. Many thanks.

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Andy Lewis The EVOX 8 are fairly smooth in coverage..while being closer to the speaker is higher SPL , the dispersion and direction of the EVOX 8 tends to not be so harsh close to the speaker. While being loud up front, it does not sound harsh like a HF driver would at close proximity. We have run acoustic guitar and vocals through the EVOX and they sound fantastic.

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      HOLA ! With one per side of NXL24 and a SUB8004, with decent volume I would say 400 or so. you will need 2 per side and a 8006 per side for larger events.

    • @tygeventos
      @tygeventos 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      In your experience..... whats is better for event into (200 - 800 people open or close espace)... NXL24a... or maybe line array kind of T4... T8... Hdl20a... Nx23a... L23a... Das.. or similar...

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do it with 2 of the NXL24's or 2 of the NXL44's per side and subs. That is a fairly easy system to set up. T4 T8 HDL20 or HDL6A can do it as well, but you have to keep in mind those are very directional speakers in the vertical and you need more to get proper coverage and low frequency coupling. Looking at 4 HDL20 per side min. plus subs. Also look at the TTL6A, a bit more $$$$ but amazing speaker too !

      I don’t think most will notice a major difference. I believe the 8004 has a different higher power raged woofer in it. But most will not be able to tell difference

    • @paulstibal2331
      @paulstibal2331 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is exactly what I am looking at doing. What are your first impressions of this system?

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      NXL24 is amazing, you can do 1000 peeps with 2 per side and sufficient subs, but the tops will outrun the subs with no issues...IMO you will need an 8006 or 2 for keeping up with the NXL24's if used with 2 per side. Always use a crossover or the built in crossover of the RCF subs to get bet match up with tops, and you will be able to run the NXL24's louder with decent crossover...

      yes the NXL24 and the SUB8004 pair very nicely together and using the SUB8004 crossover allows the NXL24 to run strong and hard, amazing system. We have sold numerous combos like this and all who have purchased are blown away by the output and sound quality.

    • @trinityprosound
      @trinityprosound  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, but they don't have a cross over output on them and you would be running them full range, to which you may notice early clipping due to over driving the low end on the 24's .. the 24's will certainly outrun the KW181 subs.

    Good, mate would you recommend this speaker, (only one), for domestic use only, nothing more than using it 20% of its capacity or what my ears and my neighbors allow me, that if, without disturbing, as reinforcement of my team hifi, come on I would not use it in exterior only interior
    It would be to listen to recorded music, mostly just rock and some classical or jazz
    If you do not recommend this altvoz, which model within the brand, the budget is approximated to the cost of rcf nxl24
    Thank you very much in advance for sponder

      You could but would be a lot for domestic use. I would look at EVOX for home use, the NXL24 is a lot of speaker indoors in a small room.

      Good, thank you very much for answering and clarifying partner, I follow your suggestion, perhaps the nxl24, be too loud for a room
      I will look at the rcf evox, evox 8 or evox 12?, I remind you that from the room, they will not go out, I think ...
      regards
