Can I Beat Pokemon Shield ONLY using Alolan Starters?

- In this Pokemon Sword and Shield challenge I attempt to beat Pokemon Shield only using the Alolan Starters. These are the generation 7 Pokemon, Popplio, Rowlet, and Litten, the starters first seen in Pokemon Sun and Moon which released in 2016. Using the three starters gave me great type coverage but made for a fun challenge to beat with their low base stats!

If Rowlet’s based off an owl. They do have necks so Rowlet does to, the feathers just cover it up like with most birds. Please google owl without feathers it’s horrifying

Wafer: Disarming Voice!
Water Voice is the Hidden ability of Popplio, which makes all "Voice Moves" Water-type. The way I know that this Popplio has it is because the Alola starters are only available with ther Hidden Abilitys in Pokémon Sword/Shield.
@@applepie0673 That's a good point. But he could have send them through HOME tho, and based by the time video came up, Isle of Armor wasn't released yet (where you get the hidden abilities starters), so he probably did that. (Also, it's Liquid Voice ;)
@@LoveTails Oh sorry about saying Water Voice. I think that because Litten had Intimidate, so It would make sense for all of them to have their hidden abilitys.
@@applepie0673 They could still have hidden abilities even when transferred from HOME, so they probably were. They could also be from an event. So if Litten had hidden ability they probably all had.
They do have their hidden abilities, or at least Wafer does, as at about 8:14, the ability’s shown when switching to Wafer.

Try Beating Sword/ Sheild With the 5 Original Starters(Bulbasaur,Squirtle,Charmander,Eevee,And Pikachu)
A.k.a five of my favourite pokemon with eevee being first and pikachu... second?

Charmander can carry early game with Milo
Pikachu and Bulbasaur obliterate Nessa
Squirtle can easily beat Kabu
Now for the 4th Gym it depends if he Plays Pokemon Sword or Shield
If he plays Sword, then he's in trouble because Bede isn't easy.
But if he plays Shield, Eevee can wall Allister's Ghost Types.
Opal would be pretty easy because of the questions boosting stats and Bulbasaur's posion type moves can carry the fight.
If he Plays Pokemon Sword Gordie would be a pushover with Bulbasaur and Squirtle.
If he plays Pokemon Shield, Charmander can easily beat Melony.
For Piers, just uhm try your best :)
And finally Raihan, Squirtle and Bulbasaur and Charmander can easily win the fight.

Talonflame is quite good and all of them have ground immunity. You should be able to make a decent team with the birds.

I just realized that unlike some of the other rivals in SWSH, Hop almost exclusively used Galar Pokemon, the only exceptions (off the top of my head) is Snorlax, Heatmor, and Trevenant. Heck, Heatmor and Trevenant were only used for one battle. The true Galar rival

I assumed that they hadn't been programmed in yet. Until any further news regarding Sword/Shield, I am under the impression that they still haven't been introduced in any way, shape, or form into the game yet.
