    Perfect timing: needed my laptop's battery status for the optimal charge and discharge of the battery using a smartplug. Thank you very much !

    Awesome Video, it follows the latest install version. The only issues I had was you clicked on "Send & Activate" quickly, but I was able to figure that out. The first thing I plan to use this for is to check my main computer to see if it has entered hibernation, and hibernate it if not. Many times I have come downstairs in the morning to find the PC and 3 monitors running because something like a remote desktop session kept it running. Thank you for all your work and detail!

    Just one question: Everything works fine, with one exception: I can't stop the media player. When I start a song in the music assistant, it keeps playing.

      Unfortunately, HASS.Agent hasn't been maintained for some time now. BUT soon there will be new release, new features and also new team that's picked up development from previous dev. My suggestion is to try and ask on Discord discord.gg/G9xTgrxP
      I haven't tested still latest version 2.0 and 2.1 will be released in week or two.

    Thank you very much for the video. I have a problem with the entities of the previous version. I was already using hass agent for a while and now I uninstalled it and installed the new version. But home assistant keeps finding the device (computer) that it had before and the new one identified as another device. I mean, I have a computer but it shows me two devices and the old one with all the entities now unavailable. Do you know how I can solve this? Thank you so much

    • @BeardedTinker
      @BeardedTinker  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure - is it old entities from previous installation or duplicate entities because of system service and agent app?
      HA has still problem with removing obsolete entities. For now, you could potentially disable each one. If you don't see option to delete it (by hand) it's also the only way.

    • @BeardedTinker

  • @paulhyland3528
    @paulhyland3528 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is fantastic! Thanks for a great video will be doing this asap. Is there a way that you can monitor servers, nas's (unraid) VMs (proxmox) in HA in a similar way?

    • @BeardedTinker
      @BeardedTinker  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, that's not that easy to answer. I use Uptime kuma to track some of the services. Proxmox actually has integration (did also video on that and Uptime Kuma), BUT don't get disappointed by the integration. It actually doesn't allow that much of a mointoring. My best bet, for now, would be Uptime Kuma. Not hard to setup, but also has limitations.

    i implemented 2 computers and it works fine (although the media player works only from the browser and not from an external player).
    What I can't get to work well is the WOL. On one PC it seems to work but on the second it doesn't.
    Should the script be placed in a separate file? One for each PC?
    Could you explain the procedure a little better, please?

    • @BeardedTinker
      @BeardedTinker  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      WOL has to be setup for each device separately - how/where you place it depends on your specific configuration. You need switch for each of the PCs you want to control.
      Also, not all devices support WOL - check motherboard documentation to make sure it is supported and if something has to be enabled in BIOS.

    • @drMegane73

    2:26 - My HACS looks very different than yours (Integration v1.29.1 & Frontend v20230105194043). I found that when searching for Agent I had to have the period after HASS and couldn't do the search starting with "hass age" What did work, for me at least, was searching for "hass.agent"

    I used Hass.Agent for 4 days and someone got inside my PC and started playing Indian music...
    How to secure this ?

    • @BeardedTinker
      @BeardedTinker  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, if someone did this to you, then your network is already compromised from before. This agent is not talking to the cloud or using any external access. All the traffic should stay on your network and it doesn't require any port open on firewall.
