There is usually a bad PWM-sound, when the fan is spinning under 10% speed. It's better to shut off the fan when it is spinning under e.g. 20% speed. Here is the updated code with the tweak to avoid fan spinning useless unter 20% speed and making pwm noises: Change these lines from printables code and try at own risk (works with original fan, might not with other fan. Use at own risk and test if the fan spins up again after shutting down): .... target_temp: 57 .... min_speed: 0.23 off_below: 0.25
This is of course always dependent to your environment but for me the temp is just about ~5°C higher for the mainboard than before with the stock fan. We had really hot days in the last weeks and it worked fine and not got too hot. Printed already about 75 hours with this setup now…
Please try to reproduce the install by repeating the steps. If you follow the steps 1:1 it has to work. You can try the software change with the stock fan too, which will reduce the noise in idle, but not while printing. this requires the in the linked article named fan. Please also check if you attached the fan to the right pin. Hope to help. =)

The main noise is the blowee at the front on the hot end
not on the machine I received. the main board fan was the main source for the noise as shown here
Oh super thanks
You’re welcome
Hi, is there a temp comparsion?

That does not work for my SV08, it ends in a "Exception in Fan" error.
