I agree that the training similarities are the most likely reason, I was mostly on terms of explaining away why characters like [sorry for butchering name spelling] Baidu and the guitar playing girl from Liyue. Arlecchino training Lynette and so forth with similar comparisons is the lore accurate as far as story building goes, but if you look back into old interviews and behind the scenes notes they did do some copy animations for budget reasons. Not to mention, even trained styles have their differences regardless of if they have a different weapon or not [notice the subtle difference in Lynette's style because she doesn't use pole arm or how Bennett's is adjusted for having a different model type] and yet Baidu and [whatever the guitar players name is] are adjusted for different model types.

It's likely that Beidou taught her to use her style of fighting. Although iirc Chongyue also has the same fighting animation with a slight change for the final attack, perhaps there is a standardized martial art everyone learned after all.
Though one thing with kaeya is that all the knights even Albedo and Eula have "Favonius bladework" Meanwhile Kaeya has ceremonial bladework. Makes you wonder if it is really a style of Mondstadt

You can still do similar moves with different weapons. I am actually devising sword attacks with Zhongli's pole-style. • Forward Thrust • Left Horizontal (I'm left) • Thrust up from below (body or head) • Turn Clockwise for hammerfist (diagonal spear) • Side / diagonal kick (him kicking the spear) • Then the final lower thrust attack Not that practical since Zhongli's polearm attacks are also impractical unless you have the same strength and speed as him.
Characters from the same nation will probably have similar styles, Lynette being directly connected to Arlechinno too explains her similarities. Its a nice detail
We could give lore explanations to the other characters, which some have, but it's most likely that most of it was because the characters were from the first versions of the game and hoyo had to reuse some animations to save budget. Plus all of them are 4 stars, they only used to give special normal attack animations to 5 stars at that time (aside from catalyst users)
If you look into their talents, it would show you which fighting style they are using. Lynette is trained by Arlecchino, Xinyan and Beidou (could) have the same Liyue traditional fighting styles (or smth), Kaeya and Bennett have the traditional Mondstat one-handed sword style (or he just teaches Bennett bruh), similar things are also applied to some characters.
