  • In this week's show, the lads are joined by an absolute bonafide legend in both rugby codes - Shaun Edwards.
He’s amassed 54 medals in his glittering career as well as 36 caps for Great Britain and another 3 for England, he’s a Man-of-Steel winner and captained Wigan in the crushing of Bath in the Cross Codes Clash.
As a head coach he’s won the Premiership and Heineken Cup with Wasps, as the best defensive coach around he’s been on a Lions tour and won 5 Six Nations titles including 4 Grand Slams.
We hear about the game that haunts Shaun the most, if he'd ever like to coach England one day, his karaoke skills and about the time he once used Hask’s head as an actual punch bag!
The boys also have their say on Wasps going into administration and England’s squad for the Autumn Nations Series games.

It’s an absolute no brainier to give Sean Edwards an 8 year contract to be head coach of England.

Very respected man here in Wigan. Even though it’s a rugby code we don’t play, all of the town is immensely proud of him, Farrell (Andy and Owen), Joe Lydon and Chris Ashton. We don’t have much to provide to the world other than pies, uncle Joes mint balls and rugby men. Glad they’re doing so well

Broke my heart on many occasions as Saints RLFC fan. The best support player I’ve seen bar none. If Goodway, Hanley, Betts et Al made a break, 90 times out of 100, it was getting finished off by this man.
No surprise he’s been successful in RU.
England RU…ball’s in your court for his next coaching position. That will also keep him away from Wigan RL. 😂

The greatest "professional play" I ever saw was just before half-time in the 1992 2nd test in Melbourne. GB were winning, but Australia really ramped it up & camped on our line... 15m out on the last, it was thrown back to Edwards, who was in the in-goal area... he caught the ball & touched it down to concede a dropout! He then rolled it behind the deadball line, the side took their time to get back... They dropped it out, made one tackle & the hooter played... That was Shaun Edwards to a tee... knew every rule, and played to it!

If I could I’ll ask Shaun if both rugby codes had to merge what would be the rules ? Just come across this interview, many are asking in the comments why hasn't Shaun coached England. Two words... Rob Andrew. He's been objectively opposed to any kind of League man coaching England. This prize pillock held too much power within the English RFU that saw them F up big time in missing out on Edwards and now Farrell. Look what they have done for other nations, and what have England done in return? Eddie Jones who has been pretty much a failure. England along with France have the largest resource of players and yet England have failed time and again. The only reason they won their only World Cup is because of a player many deemed to be too small to play the game, yet he had played against some of the biggest monsters in RL. Glenn Lazarus (the Brick With Eyes) and Paul Harragon (The Chief) to name but two, that player was Jason Robinson.
England need to get rid of this public schoolboy hierarchy if they want to succeed.
