Lowell didn't keep his "eyes on the road that's ahead of you." I miss him so much. To think that he could have spent the last 34 years making music, like Ry Cooder and John Hyatt has, makes me miss him that much more. "All That You Dream" was the national anthem for any 20-something, growing upduring the seventies, who valued Little Feat as much as anything worth living for. Now that we're old, we look backwards.

I've been down, but not like this before
Can't be 'round this kind of show no more
    All, all that you dream
    Comes through shinin silver lining
    Clouds, clouds change the scene
Rain starts washing all these cautions
Right into your life, makes you realize
Just what is true, what else can you do
    You just follow the rule
Keep your eyes on the road that's ahead of you
I've been down, but not like this before
Can't be 'round this kind of show no more
All of the good, good times were ours
In the land of milk and honey
And time, time adds its scars
Rainy days they turn to sunny ones
Livin' the life, livin' the life lovin' everyone
I've been down, but not like this before
Can't be 'round this kind of show no more
I've been down, but not like this before
Can't be 'round this kind of show no more

I've been fortunate to attend my share of fantastic concerts in my lifetime, including some of the legends (Hendrix, Zeppelin, The Who, Allmans, Police, Pink Floyd), and admittedly, for nearly all of them I was deeply under the influence of one or more illegal substances (including Feat), but to this day, I can vividly recall almost every single moment of Little Feat in 1977. Was hangin' out with a few coworkers and friends late one sunny summer morning smoking a few fat ones, listening to Dixie Chicken, enjoying a sweet "buzz" when suddenly our friend Arthur ,who was quietly reading Rolling Stone magazine said, and I quote, "it says here that Mick Jagger says Little Feat is his current favourite band. We who were all gathered in the living room of our rental house quietly enjoying listening to Feat with a glow collectively looked blankly, feeling altogether perfect, said nothing in response to our good friends news announcement. 😎 That's one of my more memorable moments listening to this GREAT BAND! What year did you see Little Feat at Toads Place? It's not a big venue at all. I used to see my friends the Simms Brothers band play there alot back in the 70s.

What a great freaking song and live jam. This video brings back many wonderful memories of Little Feat and Lowell George in the 70s. 1977 was a magical year for their music and for their fans. To see Lowell and Richie (RIP) play in this was like being back at Warner Theater. Indeed still the best live band ever. So grateful for and gracious to their fans. I dare you to sit down at a Feat show! If your feet ain't moving to Feat's beat you ain't got no soul in those sailing shoes Sally!

I so agree with that statement! So lucky to see them in concert as well in late 1977. Plus double lucky, since Lowell George was still alive!

I saw Feat with the Tower of Power in April of 78. The greatest show I ever saw. Even the opening band John Hall had a career night .Couldn't beat the Feat in a 1900 seat auditorium, It was a $25.00ticket. Times are different now.

Lowell also "produced" the Grateful Dead album, Shakedown Street.
Little Feat should be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!

I wish I had been able to see them live before concert tickets became so expensive. I like be their qwerky rhythms ,the best drummer , keyboard player and all the singing members created a great sound! No one like Little Feat! I have to dance when I hear their music!!❤

How come some people actually dislike this song? I reckon the two-minute intro is some of the finest rock musicianship ever, and the rest of the song is as near to f***ing perfect as makes no difference. What's not to like!! Listen to this every day and it'll sound better every time.
