@@dzigayu4944 Nah he’s a cool as hell servant, great design, great villain in the story, fun attack animations too. This bonus boss fight with him is pretty boring and his NP animation is hilariously bad, but there’s definitely plenty more good than bad with him. Wouldn’t say they dropped the ball, it’s just the classic FGO execution could’ve been better, tale as old as time even for FGO at its best.
You have to look at the perspective for the final boss' identity and intentions for the "boring" fight. Pretenders are pretty easy to fight against, so if he's in other classes it's a different story. *OC2 spoilers in case you haven't play it or didn't read the story* . . . . . . . . . . . Caligrosto was basically being "inserted" into the protag's Wastehole (the pit where the owner's negative emotions or elements was being thrown into) by Douman so that he can grow these negative emotions until they overflow, and take over protag's mentality if needed (since Dantes said he can't burn them all in time anymore). This boss is basically an amalgam of what protag faced during the journey (Fantasy trees, Zeus, Fluffy Boi and ORT, among others), and without the protag's mana support the fight should have been like that in the first battle by the Avengers alone. It's just our protag goes into his/her mentality to support his Avengers so to have a chance to fight. Also, we can't say for sure if Caligrosto's really dead as he mentioned he got Elements like UOM.
The presentation to this looks cool but it's missing some oomfp. Like those pillars in the background should be spiraling all over the place, and the Count's face should totally be moving too. Idk it looks underwhelming as hell.
This man just booped JAlter! He’s a brave one. The Dantes2 fight felt like the obvious real final boss here. Cag was a bonus one of sorts, and his follow up fight to this is literally a victory lap. It’s basically a slightly less hard Lostbelt 4 finale. With Dantes being about Arjuna Alter level and Cagliostro tree here being a slightly easier version of Ash and Tree. OC2 was pretty fun overall! Defs a step in the right direction after OC1, and if we have to deal with ‘em anyway, they may as well be fun. OC1 probably had the better gameplay though, and I wish Theodoric/Wild Hunt had been an actual boss fight instead of whatever gimmick stuff they had going on.
I have to agree with you Green, this 'final boss' seems to be rather underwhelming. We didn't even get to kill it on our own. That being said I kinda like Cagliostro's Servant design. Not this one, but the playable one.
He's being treated as even worse as Douman (he borrowed Douman's skillcrafts), so it's quite fitting for him being easy in-game as even Douman slapped him. In lore however......
@@rejoicingfakepriest201 I don't have him so I can't read his profiles, but IIRC he got some talent (including partial immortality), was one of the arch-enemy of Dantes and got defeated by him back in the PHH. As an apostle of Foreign God he seems not really better than Douman, needing to use/borrow Douman's tricks here and there, but he got unknown number of backup bodies from his words, and the fact that he's so close to break the protag's mentality from the Wastehole still makes him formidable, and can handily defeat the assembled Avengers if not for the protag's intervention.
Its funny, looking at the LB6&7 and Ordeal Call bosses they actually seem easier than some of the earlier bosses Also Pretender being one of teh easiest classes to beat over due to our main support units being cavalry classes is funny
I wouldn't call LB6 easy due to Cernunnos being an absolute nightmare of a boss. LB7 has the dreaded Daybit's Angels fight in addition to Camazotz and ORT, and as for OC1 I'd say Durga (NOT Kali) is about as hard as it gets.
are you referring to how the final boss is weaker (gameplay wise) than the previous one in the very same chapter? like how oberon was weaker than cernunnos by a lot or how grand ort was weaker than regular ort or how kali was weaker than archer durga? or this guy being weaker than dantes?
If you're talking "final" final boss fights then yeah, I agree. - Tiamat was easier than either Ereshkigal or Quetzalcoatl in Babylonia - Human Goetia was easier than his Beast I version - The tree fights were easier than the Grand Battles in their respective Lostbelts - Oberon was easier than Cernunnos LB7 I cannot attest to yet since NA has not gotten there. But Tezcatlipoca seems tame compared to Daybit's Angels or even the ORT Raid.
@@angelcarrasco7801Don't worry, April Fools this year had a much scarier representation of all your fears - 6 Star Elizabeth Balthory with all the powers of U-Olga and ORT.
How did we go backwards in fgo? From the amazing boss battles of lb 5. Tesla fest sets then the Cloud bosses and O.U.A reform to.....this? After lb 5. It should be no holds bar and the developers should be set to make challenges
Tbf it's kinda hard to surpass a nerfed ORT in terms of pure epicness. Ordeal Call is literally one massive therapy session for Chaldea and Fujimaru before we head back to our original base for the true final battle of the game. Its boss fights being a step down from the Lostbelts is fine, especially given what we had to go through in LB6 and LB7 particularly.
To be fair, this isn't really meant to be a final boss. In terms of both story and complexity, the Dantes fight was definitely intended to be the real final boss of the OC: this is just an epilogue to clean up some loose ends. Which isn't even the first time the game did this: remember the Ash+Tree fight in LB4 when the climax boss was clearly Arjuna Alter? How Zeus was clearly the climax of LB5 only to then have Caenis, Kirschtaria and Golden Caenis? The gauntlet of calamities in LB6 followed by that easy fight against Oberon?
@@owo4288 Without your (the protag's) intervention your Avengers will all be dead. In fact, Douman's fight was even easier than this one. He basically got charmed to no end by Kama.

Naw her new animations are cool, and there’s a lot of flare in them too! Like one of her Arts animations being her old Ruler self NP, or the skills having flames and Fafnir in them. @@TheCoolguymanly Overall yeah, they are way less stiff and they kept her iconic laugh (thank goodness), so it's just cause I'm not used to it for now. The extra attack and NP don't feel as brutal, even if they do look a lot better. I'll get used to them though 🥲
@@crystalkirby I love the sword flash and sound effects on the extra attack, and the NP is just the coolest, especially with the music and the cut in that actually reflects whatever ascension sprite you’re using!
