I don’t think we Minny let’s Naz leave. He loves it up there too so I wouldn’t get my hopes up. However I do love DaRon Holmes. He’s going to be there for the taking and is super polished as a senior. He’ll be ready to play from day 1. Good breakdown Jake
We are about 2-4 years late on Naz Reid. He’s literally their fan favorite akin to a Jose Alvarado or Herb Jones. He isn’t going anywhere.

The ship has sailed for Naz. DaRon would be a perfect fit in my opinion. However plenty of other teams are chatting about him.
I often times wonder whether if Borrego and his offensive philosophy had enough influence on game play. Did Willie's tendency to play defensive players rather than offensive limit Borrego's influence. Also, did Z and BI's individual play style make is offense difficult to translate Borrego's plan to the court.
I like Tristan Da Silva, Forward that can stretch the floor and hes 23 so he would help instanly
Wendell Carter would probably be a easier acquisition than Naz. Bobby Portis potentially as well if the bucks decide to blow things up. Either way cant pass up on Ware in the draft. Not having a center that can move & space the floor has hindered this team the last 5 years. All the contenders have centers that are atleast mobile.
I like holmes’ fit. Think we should grab Devin Carter if he falls low enough

Also not worried if Borrego went to LAL as assistant as you say. 1/ he might get paid more 2/ I don’t think it’s accepting defeat to recognise the LAL are a better franchise. It’s LeBron, it’s lakers, it’s fine.
I think you just HAVE to replace him. Saw we were linked with a Pacers assistant, if they’re involved in the offence, then it’s worth it. Plus if you’re promoting that person then you won’t feel obliged to promote your assistant to HC like you are with Borrego. Because for me if Willie was fired today, Borrego wouldn’t be the best option. Go for Mike Brown (should be at least potentially available because of FO arguments) Kenny Atkinson or JB Bickerstaff, and you still have a great offensive assistant
Zero confidence in the front office. Dallas went out and got a bunch of barely-known players that fit their team perfectly. The Pels front office went out and got Zeller, JRE, and Ryan to sit and do nothing. Drafted the only player with a championship in Hawkins and he plays well at first but Green goes and destroys his confidence by keeping him on the bench, he looks shell-shocked now and scared to make a mistake. Last year they got Josh Richardson and that was a disaster.
I'm starting to believe it's better to just keep Ingram because Griffin is going to fuck up a trade for him and the team will be worse next year.
I would be wary of Sacramento picking ahead of us to snatch up Daron! Might be early at 13, but they need to replace Barnes and move Sabonis to the 4. May have to move up

I don’t want to over pay for role players. We’ve done that in the past…anyone remember Eric Bledsoe? See what happened? How about Eric Gordon? Not interested in that. We need cheap or mid role players and a star that fits Zion. I’m not trying to get Pennies on the dollar yet again.

First you have to have a healthy and willing to play Zion. What he has shown so far in his career is somewhat below Embid, I think it will stay that way. Better to trade Zion for a player who wants to play and who won't miss important games.
zion and Naz are good friends he stays by zion when we play them so I can see zion pushing to get him

Naz is not a good rim protector, he's undersized, only just learnt to rebound n defend, and much prefers PF even SF. He will double what zion is doing driving to rim. Minny wont let him go - hes the most popular player in minny history, hw grew up there, he might just have to retire there.
Kat is much better at the rim, on D now, and in rebdg. Kat passes well out of the post, n is better at stretching the floor w a deeper 3 bag. naz is more a catch n shoot corner/wing shooter. U guys take Kat, pass us dyson n yr shot coach.
