Wow, great restoration. It's inspiring me to give mine (an SK55) a go. It's a little rough, but not as bad as yours was initially. Thanks for the video!
Where did you get the sheet for the replacement Logo/volume/functions. I am about to start restoring an SK5... Would be really helpful to locate this, mine is in a similar condition.
Hi I made it. I brought a printable water decal sheet. and then i spent time matching the original fonts n such and made a photoshop file. Which I then just printed at a local shop. I still have the photoshop file.
@@AndrewPeterson599 I would also love the photoshop file! I have an SK55 that for some reason has the incorrect labels on it. Would love to correct that. Cheers!
Thanks mate. I used normal spray paint. It was a paint and primer. One thing to note is that this was quite hard to do. Almost like painting a car. But one tip would be if there are tiny drops or marks. Use really fine sandpaper wet. And it will polish out
Hello! Love your restoration work💖 I recently bought Braun SK55 but the speed is a little fast and the pitch is too high. Do you happen to know how I can adjust this issue? 😢
If you are in the USA, The power runs on 60Hz which can make European electronics with motors (50Hrz) spin much faster. I recommend you get a frequency converter from KCC Scientific.
Hello, can i ask you the paint code of the metal body? I recently bought a SK4/1 and it has some scratches on it. I would be pleased if you let me know. Thanks.
Hi Andrew, I'm writing to you from Italy. I would like to restore a Braun SK 5 as well. Would you be so kind as to send me the file to print the decals? Thank you, Alessio
What an incredible job ! 👏

@@QET5555 THANK YOU SO MUCH😭🙏 I’ll try their product!!
Any insights on why a SK 5 unit would not function in the United States? I switched the voltage to 110v from 240v but the turntable will not spin
Motor is frozen, try to get it goin by turning the brass top of the motor by hand
That was well done - I also would be interested in the photoshop file with the Braun logos for my SK-5 project if you are still willing to share
