I lost my fianceé over Christmas last year. The last six months have been a haze of crying myself to sleep at night, to waking up to cold, grey, colourless days. She always used to insist her phone had better sound quality, so we would only play music on her phone. I was recently going through my TH-cam history searching for the name of a song, when I stumbled upon this song in my search history. I have never heard this song and it was played on my phone just before Christmas last year. I'm glad you got a chance to hear my phone's crappy speaker, my bear. This reminded me when I was at homecoming and it was raining and chilly so I went outside to watch the quiet night and rain and I remember the person I loved at the time come out and draped his tux jacket thingy over my shoulders and we just stood there watching the rain quietly together

Plot twist: you only think you're in a dark alley cause your mind's slipping as you fade in and out from consciousness. In reality, you're laying in your bed, bleeding out, after being stabbed by your loving wife of 14 years, as she dances around the room with music faintly playing.

Pov: it's a 1950s manor, filled with music, lights and dancing. You, however, did not fit in at this party,. Your friend disappeared on you and you know no one else. Too awkward to really talk to anyone else alone, you walk outside to the garden. It's raining and cold, but it's a beautiful night, and a gorgeous garden. The lights streaming out the windows illuminates an otherwise dark night and the sound of a live band and singer being almost drowned out by the rainfall is quite comforting. It sucks that you were left alone at the party, but at least the night isn't a total bust, as you relax and enjoy your solitude in a rare moment of total peace.

Ive listened to this version of this song a lot. Its so atmospheric! But i decided to play it in the darkness of my room, and i felt a strange sense of lonelyness. I still live with my parents and still go to school, but im nearing the end if my school years and this song made me realise how much I dont want to end up alone someday.
