Soaking wet and soft tears falling down your cheek, dress drenched, laughing painfully to yourself occasionally, knowing that even if the person you have fallen for wasn’t with another you could never be, never dance together, never be together or have a happy ending together.
I lost my fianceé over Christmas last year. The last six months have been a haze of crying myself to sleep at night, to waking up to cold, grey, colourless days. She always used to insist her phone had better sound quality, so we would only play music on her phone. I was recently going through my TH-cam history searching for the name of a song, when I stumbled upon this song in my search history. I have never heard this song and it was played on my phone just before Christmas last year. I'm glad you got a chance to hear my phone's crappy speaker, my bear. At least now I have this song to remind me of you ❤

Too awkward to really talk to anyone else alone, you walk outside to the garden. It's raining and cold, but it's a beautiful night, and a gorgeous garden. The lights streaming out the windows illuminates an otherwise dark night and the sound of a live band and singer being almost drowned out by the rainfall is quite comforting. It sucks that you were left alone at the party, but at least the night isn't a total bust, as you relax and enjoy your solitude in a rare moment of total peace. Aka, the only way I could achieve both in my head lmao

Ive listened to this version of this song a lot. Its so atmospheric! But i decided to play it in the darkness of my room, and i felt a strange sense of lonelyness. They jump when you mutter a "hello," and immediately look up to where you are standing. Both of you understood immediately, and though you both didn't survive much longer, you had found love, the one that had been waiting.

So I live in an apartment, my neighbor is pretty old, _not_ exactly elderly but definitely in his late 60's A bit weird and secretive, has an unhealthy love of cigs and liquor, but otherwise really friendly, I always do my best to greet him and wish him a good day whenever I see him. He's a big fan of Sinatra, if the house is quiet enough I can hear him listening to live recordings and clapping along with the audience, calling for an encore and even sometimes rewinding the songs One late night I was walking up the stairs just feeling genuinely exhausted. My mom was in the hospital, I had just learned my cat who was staying at the vet hospital had cancer and didn't have much longer, I felt beaten down by life, I was exhausted. When I went to unlock my door, I heard my neighbor listening to his Sinatra again, it sounded just like this. Fly me to the moon, one of my absolute favorites just playing somewhat muffled. I remember sitting down on the stairs and staring out at the window just listening to the song play out. It was a surreal feeling, and for a minute I just let myself pretend that I was somewhere else in the world, for that moment I was outside during a party, everything in life was okay, the song came to an end and I went back inside and just finally broke down. Things haven't gotten better, I don't know if they ever will be. It's been three long years of being brutally tortured by life. But for at least a few minutes, this brought me back to that one moment where I found some inner peace. I want to give up, I so desperately do. But I adopted a new cat, he's my world and he depends on me. He's always so happy to see me and he never leaves my side, he got sick with FIP (deadly illness, treatable although not easily) earlier this year, but I refused to let him go. I spent over ten thousand dollars on medication and treatments and he did his part and fought through. He's okay now, and I'll be forever grateful. Thinking about leaving him behind.. I could never bring myself to. There are people who need me, and he relies on me for everything. Sometimes I just wish I could bring him with me and start a new life as someone else entirely, get a fresh start and a chance to do it all over again. I'm not perfect, I never will be, I wish I could be someone who is, but I do my best every day.

You tell them the rain is just so inviting and comforting and you invite them to sit with you. They sit down with you and you all enjoy a moment of peace in the rain.

Your stress and worries fade away as you listen to the music your grandma is playing down stairs, and just lay there, thinking and remincising about happy memories. You haven't fallen in love yet, and you don't want to. You're just enjoying the moment.

You quickly stand and walk around your garden, looking for the source, and you notice your neighbour through his kitchen window. He’s slowly dancing and smiling happily to the words of his favourite artist. You smile, and continue to watch him as he uses his imaginary microphone to lip sync, with great emotion too. You continue to stare and as he spins around he notices you drenched in the rain. He gives you a bright smile and a wave, with full confidence in his mini performance he knew you just saw. He gestured for you to quickly go back inside as the song ends. There were now other...more brighter thoughts that filled your head.

So I live in an apartment, my neighbor is pretty old, _not_ exactly elderly but definitely in his late 60's
A bit weird and secretive, has an unhealthy love of cigs and liquor, but otherwise really friendly, I always do my best to greet him and wish him a good day whenever I see him.
He's a big fan of Sinatra, if the house is quiet enough I can hear him listening to live recordings and clapping along with the audience, calling for an encore and even sometimes rewinding the songs
One late night I was walking up the stairs just feeling genuinely exhausted. My mom was in the hospital, I had just learned my cat who was staying at the vet hospital had cancer and didn't have much longer, I felt beaten down by life, I was exhausted.
When I went to unlock my door, I heard my neighbor listening to his Sinatra again, it sounded just like this. Fly me to the moon, one of my absolute favorites just playing somewhat muffled.
I remember sitting down on the stairs and staring out at the window just listening to the song play out.
It was a surreal feeling, and for a minute I just let myself pretend that I was somewhere else in the world, for that moment I was outside during a party, everything in life was okay, the song came to an end and I went back inside and just finally broke down.
Things haven't gotten better, I don't know if they ever will be. It's been three long years of being brutally tortured by life. But for at least a few minutes, this brought me back to that one moment where I found some inner peace. I want to give up, I so desperately do. But I adopted a new cat, he's my world and he depends on me. He's always so happy to see me and he never leaves my side, he got sick with FIP (deadly illness, treatable although not easily) earlier this year, but I refused to let him go. I spent over ten thousand dollars on medication and treatments and he did his part and fought through. He's okay now, and I'll be forever grateful. Thinking about leaving him behind.. I could never bring myself to. There are people who need me, and he relies on me for everything. Sometimes I just wish I could bring him with me and start a new life as someone else entirely, get a fresh start and a chance to do it all over again.
I'm not perfect, I never will be, I wish I could be someone who is, but I do my best every day.

You tell them the rain is just so inviting and comforting and you invite them to sit with you. They sit down with you and you all enjoy a moment of peace in the rain.
