The jousting bit was a neat roleplay to gameplay moment more APs need for sure! Marius winning through grit and some tiny healing was satisfying to watch for sure.
Loved the little "VS" graphics for the joust to make it seem more like a fighting game. I'm surprised this much is happening with the party and the players are able to keep up. Having a Gala with so many events that you fleshed out makes the experience so much better.
In real time, the Meratt County jubilee was several session of gameplay, not just played over one afternoon. Even in the retelling I've hade to spread it over two episodes.
Where do you typically get your artwork for all your videos? Is there anything you have to worry about legally with the pieces you use? I am thinking about starting a lore channel with monsters being the main focus and wanted to know where you sourced your images from. Love your content, it has been a huge help for me and my group. Keep it up!
Three places - 1, the PCs are original art done by my friend; 2, art taken from the AP itself; 3, art sourced from Pinterest and other internet sources. On #3 I have gotten criticized for this in the past, although I do think everything I do falls under Fair Use as educational material; that said a DMCA take down doesn't require any litigation, it just happens, so I'm a little exposed on that front. If I were starting from the beginning again now I'd probably do more of #4 (which I pretty much never do) which is GenAI generated art. That'll always be safe to use.
The prioritization of options here is great. Hopefully you will find it easy/affordable in the long term to rely on 1 & 2 more exclusively. I won't dump on algorithmically generated images as totally evil - I have used ArtBreeder to build character portraits - but the quality of art from actual humans still can't be beat. Anyhow, love what you do & thanks for another awesome episode.
Excellent as always and I appreciate your GM tips. My degree is in creative writing, so I am familiar with Save the Cat and beat sheets, though I never really combined them with running a game. I think it's because I'm very wary of my players doing something completely unexpected and so I tend towards a more sandbox approach. I've been wanting to try a more planned and well written story though, which is why I've been looking at adventure paths. I think I just need to trust my players and myself to be able to keep things vaguely headed in the right direction and use those improv skills I've learned over the years.
Its always a delicate balance. You want your players to feel like they have ultimate control over the story, while at the same time it will be a more meaningful experience to them as players if their character gets to have a real character arc. A lot of this just comes down to a combination of planning and luck.
@@TheMythkeeper Yeah, it's a complicated and there's no real one guaranteed way to pull it off. It's just a lot of practice and knowing your players. I've just gotta try it at some point and be willing to learn from mistakes along the way.
Hi i know im not a member yet but could you consider a list of all water based Monsters good and bad for the future just curious im getting in to Pathfinder content so good so much fun thanks for everything so far Mr Mythkeeper!? 😉👍
Another awesome video! My guess is that there are, but are there cool rules for jousting in the adventure? I've noticed that a lot of the Pathfinder adventure Path have little mini games built into the different books. Is there one for the second book of war for the Crown?
Diyanah's encounter with Merkondus was just stellar. Loved this episode.
Thank you! Much appreciated!
this series makes me want to play this Adventure Path.
Find a group and run it! Hopefully my campaign diary gives you some help along the way.

oh man, this series is getting more and more interesting.. and dramatic :)
It does get better and more intense over time
Another Great Episode, thanks for doing this series.
You're very welcome! Appreciate the lover here.

Absolutely love your storytelling. Really enjoying following the campaign.
Thanks for this!
Lovely episode as always, you gotta hand it to the count, shrugging off a assassination attempt like that is no mean feat.
In some ways Bartleby is a sympathetic villain. Its all in how you play him as a GM.
Another great episode! Absolutely LOVE Titus being a poor loser 😜x
Hehe! He's a great antagonist.
Aw yeah baby the boys, (and demi) are back in town!
😆

Great chapter! Thx for the video!
Thank you!
Ferret jugglers! 🥳
A party isn't complete without them!
That Street Fighter font 😂
Hehe! That was fun

Abadar was never really my god but its cool to get the prospective of his followers.
Yeah there's a lot of Abadar in this AP
@@TheMythkeeper I suppose post Aroden. Abadar being popular in Taldor makes a lot of sense
@@Sjaddix That's exactly right. While Iomedae fills that role in most parts of the inner sea, in Taldor Abadar kind of wound up being the successor.
At 31:31 , the start of an awesome BURN.....
😂

Yeah there's a bunch here - the joust, trucco, the card game Last Azlant and probably more
Very interesting how Diyanah plays like he dumped charisma. Despite being a Scaled Fist. Maybe just dumped diplomacy somehow?
Diyanah can be strangely charming in his own way 😅
Is "Willem" a new player character?
Willem is Rankle, Rankle is Willem.
But yes, Rankle is an actual player character - I added a player between books 1 and 2. He's the drow oracle introduced in the last episode.
