everyone loves first class but it's very expensive. Because you also need to save up some money when reaching your destination for holiday or when u get back home
How about just being nice. A flight attendant's primary job isn't to bring you drinks or food or blankets. Their primary job is to protect you. It doesn't hurt to treat them with due respect.
Most flights are full. Many flights are bumping 1 or 2 basic economy travelers because the flights are oversold. Passengers with elite status are on upgrade lists and most won't get upgraded. You aren't going to get upgraded because you are nice to the gate agent.
I work for an American legacy carrier. If you give flight attendants chocolate or Starbucks you ain't going to get an upgrade, nor dressing nicely. You want a free upgrade?, fly a lot and pick 1 airline. For the weight and balance issue, the flight attendant nor gate agent has no authority of how many people sit in areas, that is up to the load desk. And if you don't know what the is, basically it's that person's job to figure out how many people can sit throughout a plane, cargo, and fuel. They try to balance the plane out. So these people who say bring gift cards or dress appropriately, while yes it's nice, you are not going to get it. And asking for a complimentary one, you will be put on the list of annoying customers for life. There is only 1 time of the year (February) where people will be moved around, and you might get it. Any other time, you are paying for it.
@@jamesf791 We shall see! Depends on when soon is 😀 Have you seen the robots Amazon is using in factories? Only the humans with the most polished skills can hope to compete
@@HotelSnoblet's go by your logic, Amazon. They still have human beings doing much of the work. Now let's look at the busiest airport in the world. How many gates are there? It's 192. Do you know how many robot pushbacks they would need and how expensive it would be at just that airport, let alone nearly 20,000 airports across the US? It's cheaper for the airlines to use human beings

I was going to bring something for the flight attendants just because they have dealt with so much crap lately. Now I don’t want to because I don’t want them thinking I’m looking for an upgrade. (I will pay for the upgrade.)
I always bring chocolates for the crew, expecting nothing in return, their job is really hard, normally they thank me, maybe offer me a drink, but I don't drink hahaha be nice that is all they want

How long will it be till AI takes over these seemingly hard and displeasurable jobs?

Just be respectful and thats it
Is it far cheaper to upgrade to first class at the front desk as you check in? I did this a few times didn't feel expensive.
