I've listened to many renditions of this song by Frank, Jack Jones, johnny Mathis, female singers ..no one, absolutely no one sings this like Scott. His version is #1.
Scott passed away two years ago today, March 22, 2019. Will miss you forever beautiful man, sing in Heaven to all those with you. Please save a song for me. RIP.
No man in popular music has ever touched his class and high quality. Scott was way out there the very best. So glad he made his home in UK. Meet you on the ledge Scott.
The legend that is Scott Walker. Born 1943 to 2019 idolised by David Bowie and many other artists. Check out Scott's birthday message to David it brought him to tears. Also Check out Scott's solo albums 1 to 4
Never heard of this great singer. My hobby is to try and find as many renditions of a classic as this is. Instrumental and vocal .....makes no matter. It's clear that this man has some chops
Thank you so much for this beautiful ballad. I've always wondered why he never made a recording devoted to all Michel Legrand's ballads like Jack Jones and many other artists have done! Scott Walker's voice is tailored made for Legrand's romantic & sumptuously strings laden ballads!!
Probably one of the most prolific love songs ever music from the late sixties early seventies has always been in my opinion the most creative periods Stereo sound was new orchestras were still plentiful and creative lyrics flowed from mid century poets!
Or you could just download it, since you've generated enough Ad revenue by listening to it here to pay the heirs of Walker's empire and YT, and guidofski too.
Scott Walker was singer with the Walker Brothers in the 1960's. In this video we have an incredible singer and an incredible song brought together in one of my favorite performances of all time. God bless.
I am a huge Dusty fan but this just eclipses that version, he is a god like genious after all, I think the song is better with a baritone voice, I can't comprehend how anyone would thumbs down this incredible performance...
I heard this beautiful song sung by Vikki Carr on the Jim Nabors TV show many years ago. These two artists gave absolutely lovely and unforgettable interpretations.
What are you doing the rest of your life? North and South and East and West of your life I have only one request of your life That you spend it all with me All the seasons and the times of your days All the nickels and the dimes of your days Let the reasons and the rhymes of your days All begin and end with me I want to see your face in every kind of light In the fields of dawn and the forests of the night And when you stand before the candles on a cake Oh, let me be the one to hear the silent wish you make Those tomorrows waiting deep in your eyes In the world of love that you keep in your eyes I'll awaken what's asleep in your eyes It may take a kiss or two Through all of my life Summer, Winter, Spring, and Fall of my life All I ever will recall of my life Is all of my life with you
Hi Guidofski I've been listening to a lot of Scott since the news of his death. I've found lots of stuff on your site I haven't heard before. Thanks for uploading/ downloading/ posting. Fantastic stuff
What am I doing the rest of my life???....well,I won't be into extreme sports,I won't be travelling the World...I won't be striving to be a super-model or famous film star...(I wish??!)....I won't be on the Moon...I will simply be me,as I always have ever been..........yet,thankfully I have blessed to have been in a special time..... This gorgeous song can fulfill daydreams enough; a beautiful voice with a song to give joy a wistful melancholy....just moments in time that are beautiful can mean more may yet be ahead,in the "rest of your life".. .it doesn't need to take a lot to bring a lovely smile to someone's heart. This beautiful song, this beautiful voice from my youthful era can still do that. Filled with romantic, gentle passion..a desire for the loved one...wanting to be involved in that certain person's future for the "rest of your life"... How todays' generations are so sadly losing out on all that can be emotionally special...yet they truly cannot see it. The internet has seen to that, unfortunately. Ah,well...that is progress.............? K xx
Thank you for these thoughts.I have a beautiful, thoughtful wife that I've married to for 36 years and known for 48 years. The words of this song express my feelings perfectly and just being with her is all I need.Thank you Scott for a wonderful song.
.Gemini....Your words are very touching, in the sense..of the greatest of .simplier times...I call the era of romance at it's height...all now but ..gone...except thankfully in ..u tubes.. I hope this finds you well...in your love..kindly, Danny Barrett..
Sadly, you are quite correct and moreover, the emotional dumbing down of today's generation has all been a part of a deliberate scheme by the ruling elite, which in the process has systematically steered the younger ones away from the finer things of life itself towards more and more crudity, vulgarity, and a taste for violent imagery in almost every field of endeavour. Hold fast to sensitivity!

I wish he had sung more songs of this type such as Jack Jones, Steve lawrence, Frank sinatra, Andy williams, and perhaps Ed Ames. He was a natural singer. He was really gifted and his voice made for these of type of songs. Such a pity he didn't use his voice to its full potential because he would have been great on Broadway, and so much better than other singers such as Harry connick Jr, Jack Jones, Frank sinatra, Ed Ames, Andy Williams and perhaps Steve Lawrence! (However Steve Lawrence is very hard to beat but he could do this on some of his songs) he never studied voice even though it sounds like he had a lot of training, but when he was 22 23 he sounded like a seasoned classical 40-year-old singer. He was a complete natural like Jim nabors, Al Jolson, and the great Judy Garland. It saddens me when I hear his great vocals such as "If she walked into my life today" and I hear that great and beautiful warm sound and he never recorded hardly any of this type of music. Such a sad waste ! He squandered that God given beautiful sincere and passionate voice. He had so much talent but he could not remain focused on what he was naturally and best at. This loss makes so very sad. He truly needed a very good agent and svengali to guide and nurture him and put/keep him on the right track!!!😓🤔😇
Been listening to Scott for so very long -I usually prefer his own songs but this is so right for me and my love for the girl I married in 66....trouble is she hates Scott.......
the life that showed up and lived...... as well as could be...... not making a difference to change any thing..... but so badly trying to ........ believing lov e could ...

was just about to tell guido she had made an error as my brain tells me this is not on 'til the band comes in'; looking at the vinyl now and it is, age is getting to me, should have known she would not make a mistake!
I first heard Scot in 1967. A dear girl friend in Fulham by name of Linda Jenkins revealed him and the walker brothers to me. Scot has a bigger than life sound to his voice. Still enjoy listening to his songs even though he has passed from this life
Where are the singers like this today! The simple answer is there are none!
To this day, in 2024, most beautiful voice singing this haunting melody - amazing!❤️
I've listened to many renditions of this song by Frank, Jack Jones, johnny Mathis, female singers ..no one, absolutely no one sings this like Scott. His version is #1.
A magnificent voice by any standard.
Scott passed away two years ago today, March 22, 2019. Will miss you forever beautiful man, sing in Heaven to all those with you. Please save a song for me. RIP.
Sublime.
Scott with lyrics from Alan & Marilyn Bergman , song Michel Legrand.
No man in popular music has ever touched his class and high quality. Scott was way out there the very best. So glad he made his home in UK. Meet you on the ledge Scott.
Scott was 24 years of age when he recorded this. Beautiful man with a voice of an Angel. Something in his voice touches my heart and soul.
RIP Scott.
He was 27 when he recorded this in 1970.
@@dfo132ok..so close. No big deal
I will also continue to listen to his music for the rest of my life.
North & south & east & west of your life . Me too.
Yes, I will. His voice is simply wonderful.
Pure magic. Scott had THE voice. Amazing.
Whoever said that nothing's perfect had never heard a Scott Walker recording.
What a beautiful version. Just like an old school crooner. RIP Scott.
Not a crooner. Something else again. He's an instrument.
perfection in his voice love him
What a voice😢😍
Composed for the 1969 movie The Happy Ending. The second of 3 consecutive years that Michel Legrand was nominated for an Oscar for best original song.
Oh what a perfect voice, unbeatable love Arlene xxxxxx

I absolutely love this song specially sung by the lovely Scott walker.💔💔
R.i.p. beautiful man.💔💔.
Uma obra prima do maravilhoso Michel Legrand 🎼🌹
His songs are a star in the musical heaven and will shine, eternally.
He is the greatest American male singer. I will not be lectured on this. And I know he may have deserted that background. But he could do both.
Thank you so much for this beautiful ballad. I've always wondered why he never made a recording devoted to all Michel Legrand's ballads like Jack Jones and many other artists have done! Scott Walker's voice is tailored made for Legrand's romantic & sumptuously strings laden ballads!!

Person who gave this the thumbs down (either a Dusty Springfield fan) or 100% dead inside. Scott nails this song.
I am a huge Dusty fan but this just eclipses that version, he is a god like genious after all, I think the song is better with a baritone voice, I can't comprehend how anyone would thumbs down this incredible performance...
Gary Martin I agree with you gary, Scott has such a unique voice, we will never hear another like him.
How is it that I have never discovered this artist before now?
What a beautiful love song, got me in tears.
R, I, P,, DEAR SCOTT You will be sadly missed and loved,,,,MERCI MON AMI, ADIEU,,
Such a beautiful voice. Takes me back to student days.
The best ever rendition of one of the most beautiful songs ever written. I weep every time I hear it.

なんてすてきな声、聞きほれますね。
I heard this beautiful song sung by Vikki Carr on the Jim Nabors TV show many years ago. These two artists gave absolutely lovely and unforgettable interpretations.

Beyond beautiful.

Thank God he came toEngland he has it all Love him to bits June Errington
The best rendition song I've ever heard .... simple and classy . Bravo and thanks for sharing 👍
One of the great love songs.
What a sentimental lot we are. Just shows we all have regrets but as Willie Nelson said........”There’s nothing I can do about it now”
What are you doing the rest of your life?
North and South and East and West of your life
I have only one request of your life
That you spend it all with me
All the seasons and the times of your days
All the nickels and the dimes of your days
Let the reasons and the rhymes of your days
All begin and end with me
I want to see your face in every kind of light
In the fields of dawn and the forests of the night
And when you stand before the candles on a cake
Oh, let me be the one to hear the silent wish you make
Those tomorrows waiting deep in your eyes
In the world of love that you keep in your eyes
I'll awaken what's asleep in your eyes
It may take a kiss or two
Through all of my life
Summer, Winter, Spring, and Fall of my life
All I ever will recall of my life
Is all of my life with you
Roberto Mercado thank you for the words Roberto
MIL GRACIAS por publicar la letra.

Can't do anything - ❤
Thank you for the upload.
He still makes records, but his sound is VERY different nowadays...
Как же божественно, спасительно сейчас для меня, как осення листва навстречу мне с ветром в лицо веет музыка, слова, атмосферность мира...

I love those songs and his great voice. Can't understand why he did not continue in that style.
He was an innovator. He didn't want to sing the same old songs for 50 years straight.
