I remember beating zone of the enders 1 when i was like 10 in 2001. And fighting anubis as the last boss I was like how I'm supposed to beat him. Then when he finally beat me I was like what kind of ending was that? But, when ZOE2 came out in 2003 and my dad got it for me my mind was blown I beat that game in one weekend was one of the best video game experiences of my life. And the story was incredible atleast that how I remember it being. loved the voice acting too. Can't forget that amazing intro either.
I agree 100%! I was like 18 when my buddy got me into the 1st one just by pointing it out to me at the rental store on a whim. I thought it was decent, but when I picked the 2nd one up my own at 19 my interest was piqued but my expectations were blown away!
Now that I think about it, it is the closest a science-fiction or fantasy game has immersed me in it's world and gameplay since Super Metroid.
playing zoe 2 back in 2003 is in my top 3 best gaming experiences
Aumaan Anubis can be vector cannoned. I remember finding that out when I was 12 and I felt so slick
That would only be possible in ng+. On your first playthrough, you lose all sub weapons except zero shift and grab.
This game needs a sequel....
Truly, a weapon to surpass Metal Gear.

I remember playing this on the original PS2, the enormous battle towards the end of the game, and just being floored by that second wave of enemies.

Back in the day I remember using Vector Cannon on just about all the bosses that I could do it on. only because it looks so awesome
Leo Stenbuck , he was an amazing protagonist in the first game, he was the first pilot a hell of pilot at that.... this brings back so many memories , right in the feels
One of my favorite games of all time!!
This is my favorite game from my childhood and I've replayed it countless times and until just now I never knew you could hit these enemies with the metal rod and have them fly like a baseball 15:29. Most enemies just explode so thats super awesome.

My most favorite run of the event. The series is just so good and definately needs a new game as well!
Also its funny how the runner said that this game has huge loading times and sometimes lag on PS2...i never realized that until i played it after the event. Anyway, keep it up tapioca !
46:22 I remember my swag move on the Second big wave was to use Vector Cannon. Just because it looked cool. This and the Battleship fight before this was my favorite missions. I remember only turning on the PS2 to play these two levels.

I'm conflicted. I wanna see expert level gameplay, but I dont want to skip the cutscenes. This is a game you don't skip the cutscenes for.

This and ZOE 1 were among my favorite games... but I never was able to be ZOE 2 because the Anubis fight was so fucking hard for me as a child omfg. Glad to see it annihilated!

Instead of a sequel they keep remaking this very game... first PS3, now PS4 and even PC players get to play it as well. Konami just isn't the Konami we used to know anymore.
This game is fucking boss and cool and needs a new remaster with a bit more content
well only thing that makes me feel better is that I finished this on highest dificulty without dieing but damn this is some speed run
Wow I remember first Zone of the Enders was a tactic game I never knew there was ZotE 2 nice to see it again.
The first ZOE game was just like this one, but a little slower. The tactics one youre thinking of is an old GBA game called Fist of Mars

This makes me concerned for my PS3, because mine does not load the cutscenes fast enough to be able to skip the four after the first Anubis fight.
With 20 minutes under estimate they should of shown that optional boss for couch guy

The Zone of the Enders HD Collection became a free download on PS3 for PS Plus members recently, not sure how long thats going on though.
