When you are in old town try sopa paraguaya, chipa guazu, chipa traditional, mbeju con cocido (this is sweet so better for breakfast ). Some off them or all together 😂 You ,might also love Vori vori but not when is 30degrees man because is a hot soup. One good place to eat in old town is EL Bolsi
I´d have gone for the Bandeja Paisa. Can´t get any more Colombian than that. I´ll be in Asuncion in five weeks time. I´ll give that place a try, looks good.
Oh I just noticed your Yankee hat. That’s where I’m from. Grew up about 20 miles from Yankee Stadium. We just lost to LA but hey we say that we can’t win em every time. It really bothered me when I was younger but not so these days. I also love the Paraguay food
Hey bud I'll be in Asuncion in May more of less and looking at your vids it looks like it's a nice chill city which is righ tup my alley. I'll be staying close to the mercado about 10 minutes or so. Was it hard for you to get a Sim card? Is there exchange houses to exchange all the currencies I have to Guarani? What about hiking treks? Outdoor activities? Do they also have like menu of the day like in Colombia and other countries? Those are the best....traditional meals.
Yeah it's a nice city. Claro is one of the main network providers so you can just go to a Claro store and ask for a prepaid SIM card they call them chips. Credit and debit cards are widely accepted there and you can get money from ATMs, but if you need to exchange cash then there are Maxicambios exchange stores around the city, you can use google maps to find the nearest one. I think there are some hiking trails on the other side of the river, but you'll have to go outside of the city for the best ones. You should look into Parque Nacional Médanos del Chaco tours, its a national park with lamas, jaguars and other South American animals.
Be careful when you’re walking or crossing the street. The people there drive like shit. No consideration for walkers. And keep your head up. That’s my only complaint of PY Otherwise especially when you have a carload of girls talking and waving at you can’t be all that bad. Enjoy PY
Nice Vid. I'm also a digital nomad, here in Asuncion too!
Thanks again.

You think a Asunción is a safe City?
So far yes, I have felt very safe here so far, but I haven't explored the Old Town of Asunción yet
That restaurant is extremely expensive.
