True story. My wife and I just spent 2 weeks in Spain, April 2024.. Prior to our trip, I watched Tony Galvez' features on TH-cam and found them very accurate and helpful. As our trip was concluding on May 2, we were at Madrid Airport waiting for a hotel van, when i saw a man who looked just like Tony Galvez walk by, talking on his cell phone, and escorting a small group of tourists. As our bus didn't come by for a while, were still waiting when Tony walked by again, still on his phone. I couldn't help myself and asked him loudly, "Excuse me, are you Tony Galvez?" He turned and it was. He smiled and apologized that he was on a conversation, but yes, he was Tony Galvez! He disappeared into the crowd. A few minutes later, our hotel van arrived and after my wife and I got on, suddenly Tony pokes his head through the door to say hello before we left. I had just enough time to thank him and say how much we'd enjoyed his features on TH-cam and how useful they were. He thanked us and beamed in the most hospitable way and our bus moved away. Thanks, Tony Galvez!
Dear Bruce, I'm so glad I managed to say hi in the end. We don't actually guide groups, what happened is that our flight was delayed by 8 hours and we were being sent to a hotel. But it was a complete mess, no information, nothing. Because we know the airport well and I'm a native speaker I was trying to seek information for ourselves and other fellow passengers. We met you at a very critical time. But again, I'm so glad I had the chance to say hi, even if only very briefly. We always like to stop and chat with our followers, pity the circumstances didn't allow for it. Glad also to learn you had a great trip. All the very best to you!
Dear Tony, thank you so much for including my question in your video. I feel like a star :) Really appreciate your feedback and advice. Much continued success and good fortune! Very grateful.
Love your content. I'm planning to go to Portugal, mainly Lisbon and Porto. Looks like time has changed, multicity airfare is twice a much as round trip now a days. So I was thinking maybe to hit Madrid and Barcelona while in Europe. Is there a train service from porto to Madrid? Or will a plane ride more logical ? Thank you so much

Ask Hello Tony I am student from India coming to Barcelona in October would like video on from you for students regarding what should they do and keep in mind while coming to Barcelona. Question : Can you let me know best route to get to Sant Gervasi and Gràcia from Airport and what mode transport should I use as I have heavy luggage?
Ola Tony - appreciate you taking the time to address my interest in castles. This is indeed a special interest and after diving deep into planning for our first trip to Spain I think this is best left for a road trip (rental car) on a third or later visit. I have found one video on the subject (see link) but I think with your native knowledge and professionalism you could do a much better job. It would not be possible to cover all of these sites of course - many may be in quite a ruined state or not open to the public. Think of this as possible subject matter for a future road trip combined with other attractions and towns - say a loop trip from Madrid northwest through Leon, Galicia, and the north coast. All the best to you and Cecilia - you have the best TH-cam channel for practical travel info for Iberia th-cam.com/video/b9lw6a-7sRo/w-d-xo.html

Thank you so much. We have many road trips lined up, but so far we are lacking time to develop them. We'll get there one day.
