Matthew, you're doing an amazing job. I can't understand all the people who are saying that's not how you do it, etc. Why are they even watching if they know better? You just keep up the good work! 👍🏼
To me the blender makes it look grainy. Nothing beats using the lorha and sil (or, masala brick) to achieve that traditional texture for coconut chokha.
outragedlyrics It is true. Using the lorha and sil gives it a totally different texture. Sadly I don't have one though or else I would've used it. I might do a redo with my grandmother because I know she has one.
Matthew's Guyanese Cooking definitely try the lorha and sil also if you add tamarind into the chokha it gives it a great taste! Keep up the great job btw!
Hi Matthew, love your videos. Well organized and explained. Just to let you know, I roast my coconut in the oven and I grind it in the food processor like you did. I also use pink himalayan salt in all my cooking, which is healthier - you can Google it to find out the benefits. Keep up the awesome recipes, God's blessings always.😊😊😊
Matthew that look so good, you’re doing such a good job, I do make coconut choke at home, the only thing that I do different, i have a brick so I would grind it very fine after that whole set up that you have there, just say but the way you make it is fine also, thanks for sharing🤙
Matthew will u marry me 💍?? Lol my god you’re such amazing person I am a girl and I can’t cook that much I feel so bad I mean really horrible I’m learning from you thank you very much wish I was your neighbor 😂 woulda eat out all your delicious foods and get fatttt!!! Lol
That's not how to make it. You have to grind it on masala brick until it's a paste texture. You have to grind it with tamarind half hour to achieve this
since you such an expert where is your channel with all the recipes???? i was just talking about close minded persons like you! HAVE AN OPEN MIND! he is an AMERICAN of Guyanese descent and doing a damn good job!
