First time I am watching Sparkle and Tingz l LOVE to watch Miss Lynch in the kitchen. She is fast and efficient.I am sure her food tastes delicious .I learnt making the mango and coconut choka together from Miss Lynch. ,a good blend. Your creation is simply nice.
Dhall looks good I can drink a cup. Fry fish crunchy and nice. As for the coconut choka, that's alot of hard work, but Alicia you nailed it, you makes it look easy, you're a pro at grinding on the sill with the lorha. Danny promise you a kiss after you cook , but after he get a taste of the food, he forget about the kiss 😀,
The thing about dall is that every island where its cook has there own spin. On it and indian food u can go vegetarian and never get bored with eating so many different things to eat
I would love some of that coconut choka. I never ate it but I heard it's very tasty. Hubby enjoyed his meal, the crunchy sound of the fish made me really hungry.
Authentic 🇬🇾 Guyanese food soothes the spirit & the soul!! 😇 Thanks, for sharing yet another wonderful recipe!! This, is a true labour love! 😍 Very inspiring!🥰 🙏 Hope you are all doing really well & keeping safe. GOD Bless! Love, from Canada 🇨🇦. Keep it up, Ms. Lynch!🤗💖
I love these food when i was a teenager living in Guyana i use to made coconut this way its indeed alot of work you did a great job. Every thing looks amazing I will try your dhal your cooking way... it looks great
Amazing looking food. Great techniques. The sil and lodha is amazing, my grandmother used to use it. Learnt a new recipe the coconut chokha. Never had that in Fiji. Amazing food. Will try it. For sure.
My husband and I love watching you guys. Both of us are hungry now. We want coconut choka now, the new style lol 😝 with mango. The fried fish looks delicious. We don’t get it fresh like that in the US.
Like your lil pot to junkay the dhal. It was hard work. This is the only thing we don’t get in queens. When ever any one visits from the Guyana this the only thing I ask for
Omg this is how I make it..my nanny gave me hers sil and Lorna but someone threw it out when I moved so sad I wouldve give mine to my granddaughter ...but thanks for this..lots of grsst memories I smiled through the entire video
Yes, kiss the cook. The start of the video made me smile. . . I am going to try this. I may have to roast that coconut outside on a fireside. I just bought Banga Mary and seeing a recipe from you guys including it.
Thank you for the video. Nice to see the sil and lorha. I felt as if I am in our own kitchen in my native village. My maternal grandmother gifted a sil to my mother at her wedding which we are still using for the last 50 years or so. But in our custom we gift the sil only, because we believe, if the full set is given, it would bring bad luck to the family. The sil you are using can survive for hundreds of years. A similar type with coarse surface with more efficacy is less durable but can be used for 100-150 years. The "Dhal Ghotna" you are using is also went to Guyana from India. It's a common kitchen equipment for Indian descent families in Guyana, T&T, Fiji, Suriname, Mauritius etc. Waiting for more informative videos on cuisine and culture. God bless you and your family.🙏
Aunty Alica good job I never eat coconut choka with green mango normally us berbican would add tamarind in ours next time maybe you can try it.... and dam uncle danny yuh prappa know fah mek ppl mouth wata leak 😋😋😋
Love this ole time classic, great job Ms Lynch, expect all your delicious flavor was lost when u wash the coconut after roasting, usually remove the meat from the shell want to retain all the freshness. Appreciate the time you took to make and share your deliciousness with us.Will give the mango version a try , stay safe ❤
