Hello MontrealRides 😊 How are you? Thank you very much for the feedback! It was actually a much more simple job than I thought it was going to be. Episode 3 is in the making 😊
Nice job. Like you, I never wore gloves when doing maintenance, but I discovered mechanics gloves this year and there's no going back for me. Thats a nice cheap repair on an important component. Imagine the shop cost of doing this simple job.
Thank you! That sounds like a good sensible idea to me, thank you 😊 I’ll get some bought. I really enjoyed this repair and it was much easier than expected. Although I replaced the clutch plates, I’m certain the issue was the springs being the wrong way around. It would be good to know how much this would have cost at a garage 🤔
@@TyresNTorqueI did a similar repair on a 1979 Honda xl 500s a few years ago, bought a whole clutch set, turns out the plates and spacers were all put in wrong. The mechanical ineptitude of others can sometimes be breathtaking, but I've made mistakes too, so live and learn!
@@TyresNTorqueps gloves/no gloves, it's all good, don't wanna sound preachy. I especially like how they keep your hands clean, but also save you from bashing your hands around in tight quarters, I bought a box of 500 pairs of vinyl nitrate gloves of eBay for only a few dollars.
Not at all 😊 A simple thing which looking back, was a silly thing to miss. Especially considering how long it took me to clean my hands 😂 Do you own a VX?
Brother, alguna recomendación para conseguir refacciones para la vx800? Tengo una del año 1991. Estoy intentando hacer que funcione de nuevo 😢. Gracias, saludos desde Mexico.
Hello from the UK 👋😊 I have been using a website called “Wemoto” but I’m not sure if they will ship to you in Mexico. They have loads of parts for different bikes and they are well priced too. www.wemoto.com If that doesn’t work then I’m not too sure what to suggest. Have you tried online forums and Facebook groups? They are often a good place to look 😊
Hopefully I have done this all correctly but if not, please let me know down below 😊
Very good❤😊
I don't know anything about engines, clutches and all of that, but that was a meditative (and instructive) experience. 👍👍

@@TyresNTorque no, my current bike is the transalp and I also have a scooter for errands
Smashing! Good job! I've got a Suzuki Slingshot GS500E in my barn left by my son. Out of sight, out of mind. Such a shame.
Hello, Thank you very much! 😊
Maybe one to restore? Or is it in full working order and it has just been stood?
Very good, got to do mine soon so nice to see this first
Thank you! Hopefully it is a helpful video 😊 What year of VX do you have?
