Dave, we've got something in common. I moved to Japan in 1992 to work for a Japanese company and my Japanese skills were rudimentary. What sped up the process? 1) Watching children's cartoons 2) Watching news. My third way was being immersed at work. Watching movies sounds a lot more fun!
its one of the best places to visit. Don't worry about not knowing the language, in a place like tokyo you basically only need to know how to say excuse me and thank you.
Joe Rogan is fairly new to me. I’m loving his interviews. He’s obviously well informed. He does his research, but more than that, he has a really impressive general knowledge. I say all that, because his questions are all so interesting and his observations are always perceptive. I love the way he listens to his guests and his input is always encouraging and supportive. All round, he seems to be one of the best interviewers out there. I think it’s because he has so much life experience. I will stop now, before I waffle on too long. Thank you Mr. Rogan, for a fantastic site. I look forward to watching more! All the best from the UK.
Dave understands what life is reallly about: collecting experiences and memories. It's all about the journey, not about the destination! Being one of the greatest frontmen in rock 'n 'roll is just one aspect of his life.
Pretty accurate what he says. Love Dave, he's been hyper since he was a kid, hence many very early songs and jokes about 'red flavoring'. It's just the way he is :)
You want a life like Dave? The man reads three books at the same time. He is an incredible shape he has been studying Kung Fu since he was 12 years old and has included other forms as well. He is an experienced mountain climber and white water rafter, he has medical training as an EMT. He devours history literature and culture like a fat kid in the serial Isle. And he travels he travels a lot. Finally, Dave isn't married and that is probably the single most important key to how his life has unfolded, he is not tied down with obligation, he can go wherever he wants and do whatever he wants to do. If that's the life you want, these things are fundamental.
